Client task/reminders are being send on the weekend

We are new to Karbon (using it now for about 3 months). We like it, but we found one issue, and we can't think of any workaround, so I'm curious how other people deal with this.For client tasks and reminders, you can send the work automatically once the work hits a specific date or status, but the issue is that Karbon will also send it on weekends, compared to new Works, we can move it back to a Friday before the start date, but for Client Task and Reminders, we don't have the option, for example, to move it to the following Monday.We don't wan the emails to be send over the weekend for a few reasons;We don't want our clients should think that were in the office working on weekends. If I send them tasks during the weekend, the email might get flooded with all his other emails. I want it should be fresh in his inbox Monday morning.How do you deal with this?Thank you

Triage and who can see timeline

I sometimes have clients emailing me attaching my staff on items I do not want them to be aware of. Or colleague will comment me on something and then they see my conversation with a client and I am unable to remove them from seeing the timeline. It would be helpful to be able to remove people from timeline without necessarily creating a separate new email. Is this possible?

When My Week cards move out of Done back into My Week

Looking for some My Week process suggestions! We are pretty new to My Week, so as we start using it we’re encountering scenarios we hadn’t anticipated!Key points of our processes:The Work Assignee for us stays consistent through the whole process of completing the piece of work Each piece of work generally has three people involved - a preparer, a reviewer, and a final senior review before the work is delivered to the client Some types of work will have a couple of touch points for the preparer and reviewer Current ownership of work is based on the status (e.g. Initial Preparation means the work is currently with the Preparer, when the status changes to Client Blocker it’s owned by our client success team to follow up on etc.)Problem:Once a preparer has completed their first set of tasks, it makes sense for them to move the card into the Done bucket, but based on this page, a change in Status is not a trigger for a card to move back out of Done and into This Week. Karbon and Sureprep

question for you Karbon and Sureprep users: sometimes clients will send me an email with information for their tax return. Currently i drag and drop that email into the Sureprep binder. With Karbon, i seem to have lost that ability to easily add the email to a Sureprep binder. I’m wondering if anyone has a way to handle things like this.

Change work type on a work Item

I am new to Karbon and cant find how to change the work type on a work item that has already been created with the wrong work item. Does anyone have a way to do this?

Amending Completion dates in work

Hi all, I am hoping that it is possible (or at least on the roadmap it will be possible) to amend a completion date to the day it was actually completed, even it it’s marked off after the event. I have an employee who is getting used to changing statuses as we go, and to be honest, I sometimes forget myself. However I can usually tell from items on the timeline of a piece of work when it was completed. If I mark things as complete in my regular cleanup of work, it gives a misleading picture of how long it takes to go through the various stages. Thanks.

IPM Contact/Organization Sync Steps for Tech Stack

For Contact Sync I have the following products that I would like to all sync. I can use Zapier if needed, but I doubt that is the case. I believe the order for connecting the products to avoid duplicates etc. is:Connect Lacerte Tax (I use IPM) Connect QBO (just QBO not time) Connect Ignition Stay away from Google Contact Sync unless that is just doable for the My Contacts section.Just setting up now, so want to think twice and sync once:) ~Tom

Portal Options

While I see that clients can choose to login to the portal and see all requests. I have several clients who want to see items in a folder structure. For example, they login and they can click on 2021, see the tasks that were performed and also just files (without having to drill down on requests). So, let's say I send the client a draft 1040 as a client task asking them to review. My clients would like to see the tax returns by year when they are in the portal. 2019, 2020 etc. I know this is much more like a ShareFile structure, but i gotta give the people what they want:)

Does anyone have a solution to add text messaging into Karbon? We would like to see client texts sent to our phones come into the triage just like email and be able to respond via Karbon.

Changing a client email for client tasks

Hi all, I’ve created a job for a client and emailed the client tasks. The problem is that I discovered that the client email has changed. So I updated the client email against the client record and then realised I couldn’t see a way of changing the client details attached to the job to get the checklist resent to the new email. Sending a reminder only sends the list back to the original email regardless of the change to the client. Am I missing something? Is there some way of updating the email - I’ve had to delete the job, create a new job, and then send again to the correct address.

We use whatsapp with our clients at log... how do others keep track of text message etc communication with clietns?

A lot of our clients respond 100% better when we use an instant messaging app like whats app… my concern is a lot of communication is not being captured agains the client/jobs in Karbon. Does anyone have a good way to resolve this?

Finding a specific workflow

I am trying to add an email from a client to a specific workflow, but when I click on the three dots and hit add to work Karbon only provides suggested workflows. I noticed these workflows are previous work items that I worked on. When I tried to search for the specific work item I had zero luck. My work around was to go to the workflow I wanted to add the email to, that way it was in my most recent, then add to work under suggestions. I feel that going to the work just so it’s in my recent definitely wastes a lot of time. It would be helpful to be able to search any work/client with Karbon. Just to add… Karbon does let me search work/clients but only finds a handful.

Bookkeeping Work Item Best Practice

Hey everyone - Our firm has been with Karbon for about 2 years and we are retooling some of our processes as well as work items as we’ve grown and we are looking for some insight into some best practices when it comes to our Bookkeeping work items. For the majority of our client base, we do quarterly financials - very rarely do we have monthly calls with monthly financials. We want to have the work done monthly so workflow is more predictable on a monthly basis as currently most work items are just set up for quarterly write up and then a financial statement prep in the same work item with multiple steps. We have thought of three ways to get this done while trying to cause the least confusion. Option 1 - Create a monthly repeating bookkeeping work item that just has reconciliation work and then create a separate repeating work item for quarterly financial statement prep. In the quarterly financial statement prep, the first step would be for the bookkeeper to check off that all 3 months
