How do you enter a contact with multiple contact types? 

 

We have Customer and Professional Alliance as contact types. Often Professional Alliances are also Customers and Customers are also Professional Alliances. How do you all manage something like this. Up to this point the Customer Contact types is given preference  in our contacts.

The only ways I can think of are:

1. Using the type that's most important, as it sounds like you are

2. Having an additional Contact Type: Customer & Professional Alliance, filtering on the individual one and the combined one, when looking at Customers or Professional Alliances

@Kari Hannum you could also use Client Groups for this. That has it’s own limitations so it would depend on what info/data you’re trying to get by having the distinction!
