I would like to send an email and attachment from the Task and workflow area.In this case, I don’t need a client checklist or for it to change the status of the work. I want the client to be able to quickly forward a simple attachment to an advisor/lawyer.Can this be done?
For many things we do, we might need to enter a clients bank account and routing numbers in order to pay something (mostly taxes). We currently keep that data on a physical sheet in our office. Ofcourse, when someone is sick and is working from home, this becomes a problem.I’ve seen people recommend lastpass to store passwords, but it doesn’t seem to include things outside of passwords like this. So, how are people handling this? Our salesperson showed us the karbon security page https://karbonhq.com/security/ and said putting that information in a repeating task is actual secure. Since most logins are 2factor anyway, we have not been using Lastpass for passwords and instead just putting them in the Karbon task, but we haven’t yet moved account numbers or other things that wouldn’t have that 2factor authorization when using.
The tasks in section ‘Business Activity Statement - Information Request’ did not send. Check the sender’s email account is connected to Karbon.This request will auto retry. To send now, choose ‘Resend Client Tasks’ from the menu on the Client Request Section. This is showing up in my triage. Client confirmed they haven't changed the email
I am curious if others do this, utilize Karbon (or something else)…At one point we compiled a list of client qualities and then ranked clients on that list with a 1-10 point value. We are looking to hopefully “process-ify” this when we are fully using Karbon. We would hope to aggregate the client ranking score by employees who spend the most time on that client. We are trying to hone in on our more “ideal client” design and ensure we are not penalizing good clients by having too many “bad” clients on our books. Do you rank clients?Do you designate client “tiers” in Karbon (via client type, client group, etc.)?What is your ongoing frequency for this to ensure groups are adjusted properly?
Hello all, question RE managing work and timelines. I’m finding it easy at times to miss e-mails in work timelines that actually need to be actioned during the work process. Particularly where there are multiple automatic e-mails and reminders it’s hard at times to pick out the important e-mails from the less important. I’ve tried the pinning option but find this is a few too many clicks when trying to sort triages and easily missed leading to important e-mails then not getting flagged. Is there a way others manage this that they could share, please?Thanks!Tom
We are just getting Karbon started and I am looking for some guidance. I create work from pre-built templates in the Karbon library. Every template I create, assigns it to me. I skip the “assign tasks to colleague” to do it later, but it still assigns the full template and all repeating work to me. I looked up the roles and having it assigned to a role, but it won’t do it. Work- create work- use a template- assign to: AUTOMATICALLY puts my name in, even when I delete it. OR Template- create work- again my name will not stay removed.When I look in details, I can see the client is assigned to me, and then under work team, there is me and unassigned. There are 4 of us on the team and we all work on the clients... What steps am I missing? Thanks guys! Alyssa
Hi EveryoneI am trying to insert a link to a spreadsheet (or word doc) which is held in SharePoint/Onedrive, into a work item note. Thats easy enough, however when clicked it opens the document into the Web Version of the app and I want to open the link into the Desktop app (ie Excel).Is there a way, or workaround, to make this happen?Thanks in advanceAdam 🦩

have repeat payroll jobs set up. when an email comes in you want to allocate it to the correct work, but because it is a repeat job, and not due for a couple of weeks, it brings up all the payrolls for that jobs that span the next 3 months, and without making it ready to start, how do you know which is the correct month you are allocating it to, as there are no dates in this area, it just says that the work is planned
Hi Everyone,I’m sure this is easy, but as a new Karbon user, who the Karbon Academy designates an “Expert”, I cannot find a way to get an email, that is a template in a Client Task, to be permanently changed. Someone last year put the phrase, ‘2021 business tax return...” and each time I have to go in and remove 2021...EACH time! Can someone give me a “how-to”?Thank you for this!
I am working on an internal presentation for the management team and my team of early adopters. I would like to include some SMART goals that embracing Karbon will help us to achieve. I am curious if anyone else did this before going live and what those goals might be for efficiency / communication, etc. Thanks for any input!
Is it possible to move the planned week for colleagues when moving the work in my personal My Week? When looking at the details page for the Work itself I can edit the planned week for all involved but it would be great to be able to do this when I am moving in the My Week view also.If this is not already an option, would this be something others would like to be able to do? Or just me? To give an idea, the planned week is set as the Week of Start date, so ALL involved have this as their planned week. But some will not need t look at or do any work until 1 or 2 weeks after the start date. Would love the Admin Team to be able to change this in a centralized view for all colleagues to help with scheduling work.Example of moving planned week from Work details tab. Would be great if something like this was an option in My Week, unless I have missed something?
I am wondering if other peers have the same feeling that the it is not convenient to locate and find the past emails, communications, notes easily. I am wondering it will be good if following can happen:Current search doesn’t show up the comments, but comments is now a very important communication internally Karbon encourage to replace emails for internal communication, so the search should cover comments to enable us to find past comments easily. When we search something, Initially, it should show up all the results no matter it is email, note, work or comments. the tab for emails, notes etc. can still be there, but it will serve as filter function.
We are planning a review of our templates and looking to update as needed. Given that there are multple staff involved - it would be create if we could print or download templates into a spreadsheet and make our updates off line before adding online.Is there a way to print templates?
Is there a way to disable the ability to send client task requests from emails that are not the current user's?
I was wondering if there was a way to remove the ability to change who the client task request is sent from? I do not want people to be able to send emails from accounts that are not their own. Thanks in advance.
Hello community - this may be a silly question but does anyone know how to set up work in Karbon so that my colleagues can only enter a certain task type on their timesheets?Would this setting work on a work template?With existing recurring work, how can I apply this setting?Any help would be much appreciated!
