I am a newbie here and trying to avoid a truck load of work…PLEASE tell me there is a way to merge two templates.I have a individual tax return template and a business return template but I need both of those together to have a sole trader template.I thought it would be logical to be able to copy client requests and paste them in new templates - ??Please help me 🙃
Good day,I wanted to find out if anybody knows the estimated date when the new billing feature of Karbon will be released? I have gradually switched over my firm to capture time on KarbonHQ and fully switched over from Xero Practice Manager on the 1st of August. As I understand, the release will be in August but a more accurate date will be much appreciated for planning. Regards!
I’ve searched around to see if this has already been posted but can’t find anything. Apologies for the duplicate if so.Is anyone else seeing that the Status column doesn’t sort in a logical/useful manner in a Work List View? We would expect this sort to be ascending/descending on the value of the Status field. However, it doesn’t appear to work that way.I contacted Karbon support about this and they said: The Status column is sorted by the due date (the earliest due date first) of the work-item, and then in ascending order of the name of the work-item and then to break a tie the ID of the work-item. Can anyone else make sense of this? Should I submit a “feature request” to try to influence a change? Or am I looking at this incorrectly?
I am not able to submit TIME entry in karbon. Below is the error that pops up and the screenshot of the same;This date is within a locked time period. If you need to add a time entry on this date, contact your Timesheet Admin.Kindly help!Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, I use client tasks to request information, however I am not sure if the client received the list OK (or whether it may have landed in their Junk mail). Is there a way for me, instead of setting up recurring reminders via Karbon, to get in touch with the client personally via e-mail and ask them if they did receive the tasks list, and if not - to add a link to it?Many thanks,Antoniya
I cannot find this issue discussed anywhere else. When I paste a hyperlink in an email within Karbon, the link does NOT work when received by the recipient in Karbon. If the email is generated in Outlook with the link pasted in, then the link DOES work when received by recipient in Karbon.Is this a known issue and is there something I should be doing in Karbon to ensure that the recipient can open the link, without having to use the Outlook workaround?

Both companies claim to work well with Karbon, but I’d like to know about your experience and why you chose one over the other. We’re leaning towards GoProposal, but it appears that most Karbon users using this type of app prefer Practice Ignition. Does Practice Ignition integrate better? Is there less manual work in Karbon after signing an engagement? Please share your experience so we can make an informed decision.Thank you!
We are onboarding a client who uses the Microsoft Cloud. Can we connect their OneDrive to only their profile in Karbon, to comply with their security standards? We work primarily in the Google Cloud, and want to work as harmoniously with their environment as possible.

Hi! So basically my firm has a large client which we designated a specific email for any correspondence from them. OInly yesterday did we finally create a Karbon User for this email, so we could attacxh any emails from them to the work items. Ideally our firm, wants to go back and have all the older emails appear in triage to attach them to our clients timeline and work item. Is there a feature/setting within Karbon that allows that or will we only be allowed to attach new emails in the triage to our client’s work item/timeline? Thank you!
Currently if we assign someone a role for a task in a work item, the work item appears in their My Week, even if the work is not with them currently.I understand some people like to know what work they have coming up, however some people really don’t cope well with this, especially admin staff who have a role in almost every piece of work that gets created.Is there a way to stop seeing work in My Week where a task is not actively assigned to you? Other than just applying a filter?Clearing out jobs sitting on Planned etc takes up a good chunk of admins day.
Hello, we’re new to Karbon (and I’m new to accounting!) and I’m in the process of setting up Karbon for our firm and having a pratice with the work templates and dummy accounts. There’s a template for management accounts however its on a monthly basis. Do you know if there’s a quarterly option?
I have updated a client contact email. When I sent a client task to the new email I am getting the following error: Validation error for client Task Group with [clientTaskGroupPermaKey=4qd3fLsQvJPk] for tenant with [tenantPermaKey=8nLJnwZYFc8] Does anyone know the fix for this error? I have set up my client with some time estimates: Note - these estimates are in both completed work and the upcoming work.Now when I go to my client’s time and budget screen, the budget overview says 0.Am I supposed to be putting a budget for the client somewhere else besides inside each work item?
Karbon Community Team!I’m trying to grant access to my employee so that he can help me work on templates. I had no idea that he did not have access! I went into Settings > Profile > Permissions.As a standard user, I would have expected him to have access to Work > Templates…. with the goal of helping me create and improve my templates. Do I really need to make him an admin user to achieve this?@max
When a comment is added to a task, the comment is automatically assigned to that task in the Timeline. However, there doesn’t seem to be a way to add additional timelines to that comment.In my specific scenario I have a comment in a task related to Q2-2023 estimated taxes. I want to be reminded about the contents of that comment when I review the Q3 and Q4 estimated tax Work Items, and maybe when I prepare the tax return after year end. It would be simple if I could add the comment to more Timelines. Otherwise, the only workaround is to remember to cut and paste the comment into another Work item, Task, or Contact timeline, correct?
Does anyone have individual clients set up as organizations? We have been operating fine with them as a contact until our recent integration with SuiteFiles. “Contacts” do not sync externally from Karbon, but Orgs do. Before we go through the whole list of our individual tax playing clients and make them into identical existing organizations, I would love to know if anyone has knowledge regarding this. Would a contact having the same name as an organization present any workflow issues? Otherwise for context our current setup is:Individual tax client = Contact - “Client - Individual Tax” Joint tax clients (individually, i.e. First, Last) = Contact - “Client” Joint tax clients (joint) = Org - “Client - Joint Tax” (both contacts from above linked to this org and work done at this level) Businesses - Org - “Client - Business entity type” Client Groups are created for anyone with more than one organization and we put all orgs and contacts under client group for visibility of work items, as
