Our invoicing needs

Hi all! I would like to start with first and foremost our company is not an accounting firm we are a building design firm. With that in mind we understand that our needs may differ from Karbons core audience and users. I have a few questions regarding the introduction of the invoicing features particularly around the functionality of it the system. Though it would be beautiful to use Karbon for invoicing our confusion is ten fold. We are unable to export to Xero as well as send through Karbon? How is this going to affect our accountants and bookkeepers as they get out data from Xero? Will this affect the reconciliation process in Xero? Is the only way for us to use the system by creating an invoice in both systems? All of your help would be greatly appreciated. Contact Search

Are you able to search for clients by typing in their address, seen that it was suggested as an idea about a year ago and not sure if it has been added in.Also are you able to customize what comes up client into wise when you do search, did a phone number on and it is just the organizations name, I need to click into it to see the phone number, wondering if that is a default setting type thing to show that.

Client ID Numbers

Hi everybody! Quick question regarding the Client ID Number. I work for a bookkeeping company and outside of Karbon, we’ve not used Client ID Numbers. What is it’s purpose and is it detrimental to the Karbon system? Thank you!!

Client Portal - unable to download the information

Client has uploaded information to the Karbon Portal. When I go to the Documents Tab and try to download them, it says to check my internet connection. My computer shows that I am connected and I can go to websites. Anyone else having this issue?

The job cannot open

Client request status to be set as sent

Is there a way to manually set a client request status as sent? The email to the client has been sent outwith Karbon but I want the task to be set as sent to client so the automators are triggered.

Email appearance

Hello, I find the font too faded in Triage and struggle to find emails, this is for when it has been assigned to me with the task and company name, it is a very light grey like this .Is there any way we can change this appearance to a bolder colour, so i can quickly find what i am seeking among lots of emails ?

Timesheet reporting by day

Editing automators for 'client queries'

We want to be able to ‘edit’ the client queries task for each client. If our initial email can go out on a different date from when the work flow starts. WE do not want the email to go to the clients the day the work flow starts as this is not when these items are due. Due date for example is the 15th of the month, we would like reminders to start going out to the client on the 16th. Is there a way to do this? i’ve been researching online, but can not find an answer. I have tried to change this, but then it changes the work flow date. We have removed the automator for a specific client because of this. The client marks off that they have done the specific tasks in order to stop receiving the reminders and yet they have not yet done the tasks they in fact, marked off. So as the information we need from them is due the 15th we want this to go out to them on the 16th, basically when its overdue.

Email Insights and Volume of Emails in Triage

I use Volume of Emails in Triage as a way to monitor if my team is getting through their daily traige. I really push the message that triage should be cleared out daily.Being a leader who tries to lead by example, I make sure that my traige is cleared daily -- with the exception of vacation, I make an effort to clear daily.So I go to check the leaderboard today and I find that I’m leading the pack on the number of emails in triage...92 emails! I can count cleared emails and I know that at no poinit this week have I had 92 emails in a day or even during the entire week. How is this metric being calculated and when is the data polled to update the Insight?

Auto-generated suggestions when adding an email to a client timeline

Can Karbon update the suggestions given when my team is adding a client email to that client’s timeline? It gives suggestions based on clients/contacts/works that were recently used, which is sort of helpful. Could it also auto-generate a suggestion based on the contact?If the contact is Dr Jones, and is set in Karbon as a contact… Could it suggest our client/organization called Jones Family Dentistry?If there’s a faster way -OR- this already exists as a process in Karbon, I’ll send a $10 GC to the person that points it out to me :-) . Thanks!

Can Karbon Practice Management shows if an estimate tax payment voucher (Form 1040-ES) has been prepared for an individual taxpayer in Lacerte? It does not necessary need to have the amount of the calculated estimate tax payment being shown in work in Karbon.

Lacerte syncing of 2023 returns

A question for the community: I have 2023 Lacerte on Rightworks and have proforma’d my returns. I’ve also tried importing them into Karbon but the link isn’t working yet. I’m a former IPM user and have raised the issue with Karbon support and they’re working with Intuit to see what might be wrong with my syncing.My question is: has anyone yet been able to successfully link their 2023 work items with Lacerte 2023 returns?

Function of task type that can be set on created tasks

There is an option to add a task type to the tasks that was created under a work item. How exactly can that be currently utilized within Karbon? We tested to see if you add a task type to the task if it auto populates the suggested time entry the same as with client and work but it does not.
