We created work from template which had automators to update status and assignee. Due to some changes , we created new templates. Now the old automators are causing confusions. Is there any setting/ option which we can enable to pause automators on some work type or for templates?

We will need to do these on bulk so can’t turn off automators by going into each work item.

Hi @Abhishek Kumar , welcome to the community!  To my knowledge there isn’t a way to bulk edit the templates to pause or remove automators.  That might be something your Karbon CSM can help do on the back end.  There are a number of things they can do en masse that we can’t do on the front end.  Perhaps reaching out to ask them could be a good step.  Maybe another one of our awesome community members has a better answer though?

There isn’t a setting or step you can take to turn off automators. If anyone in your firm is familiar with REST API, there is a way to self-service bulk changes, like changing the base template of a work item (then reset the work to the template before starting).

Karbon has a bulk update service. Depending on your subscription, it may cost extra, but it may not.

Our firm is built on continuous improvement, so the way Karbon handles repeating work makes it difficult to propagate changes forward to future work in any other context than on a work-by-work item basis.

This year, we experimented with cascading work items where a placeholder work item kicks off the work and then triggers a staff member to add work based on the current template. It worked well for us but has some drawbacks.
