Client Work Year Overview

Newer user and wondering if there is a way to do a calendar view of work that is scheduled for a client? Ideally seeing a year snapshot that maps out the work over the course of the year - on a monthly basis - still listing work items that are set as recurring. Is there a feature I’m missing or is there a way to create something that will meet this need? Thank you!

Where is the best place to store client logins, to share amongst our team, in karbon? For example, a client’s QB admin password.

Is there a way to disable the ability to send client task requests from emails that are not the current user's?

I was wondering if there was a way to remove the ability to change who the client task request is sent from? I do not want people to be able to send emails from accounts that are not their own. Thanks in advance.

Billable and non-billable work

Hello community - this may be a silly question but does anyone know how to set up work in Karbon so that my colleagues can only enter a certain task type on their timesheets?Would this setting work on a work template?With existing recurring work, how can I apply this setting?Any help would be much appreciated!

Is it possible to assign to a Team instead of just to a Colleague?

Is it possible to assign to a Team instead of just to a Colleague? We have a few different Teams, for a mix of Client Teams, Department Teams etc. and it would be helpful if emails or tasks could be assigned to the Team as a whole instead of the individual (to start). This process happens already in some cases using the Team Tag. However, would work better with our processes if tasks or Work could be assigned to a Team (think repeat work/task creation) then can be assigned to the individual from here.

Filtering by Client Groups - Only The First Client Group Shows Up in My Work Filter

Does anyone else have problems filtering Work views by Groups when more than one Client Group is linked to an entity? We usually link all related entities to one client Client Group but recently we started receiving a number of referrals from a specific referrer. With this in mind we set up a separate Client Group for that referrer and started linking it to the entities that he referred. While it's obviously possible to have more than one client group linked to an entity, the problem is that tracking the client work using the Client Group Work Filter seems to be intermittent. I've noticed that they don't all show up in my Work Filter. I'm not quite sure why but I think it has something to do with the order that I've added the Client Group. Only the first client group added seems to show up in my Work Filters. Any thoughts or ideas about why this would be happening would be most appreciated.

Running Slow

What is going on with the Karbon Practice Management app/program? It is running so slow that it’s almost impossible to use. I can’t get a hold of Support, or all Support wants to do is talk. I’m tired of talking. I want something to work. Could someone please get my Karbon Practice Management to work?

karbon and zapier

why can’t i get a zap to pull a project from Karbon? If i create a project in Karbon, there is no way to run a zap to pull that data from Karbon and then create an external list in Excel or some other program of all projects that i have.more and more i’m getting very frustrated with karbon.

Bank Routing and Account numbers

For many things we do, we might need to enter a clients bank account and routing numbers in order to pay something (mostly taxes). We currently keep that data on a physical sheet in our office. Ofcourse, when someone is sick and is working from home, this becomes a problem.I’ve seen people recommend lastpass to store passwords, but it doesn’t seem to include things outside of passwords like this. So, how are people handling this? Our salesperson showed us the karbon security page https://karbonhq.com/security/ and said putting that information in a repeating task is actual secure. Since most logins are 2factor anyway, we have not been using Lastpass for passwords and instead just putting them in the Karbon task, but we haven’t yet moved account numbers or other things that wouldn’t have that 2factor authorization when using.

Task not updating

We have a template in which we created (modified the 1040 template) a user (Invoicer) to be notified when invoices should be sent. The Inovicer completes the task but the task is not being marked complete in the template. What are we missing in the setup?

Copy from a Template?

Would anyone else find it useful to be able to copy a section of a template to work items. This would be so helpful when updating existing work items. I put in a feature request for this. If you think this would be useful, please make a request as well. Requests can be submitted by going to Help and Feedback and choosing this.

Timesheet report by client and work

I don’t use the Billing feature but need a report of time spent on a client (with ability to drill down on work) for a period of time i.e all hours spent on Client A for the month of Jan. I can only see how to do this by colleague?

Use Karbon with single client email

We’d like to create more of a true triage/helpdesk style client service with Karbon. Have any of you done this? We want clients to email a single email, have emails sent from a single email but with signatures of each user and the ability to assign tasks to each user. Is this possible?

When looking through my triage on my phone I would like to be have to search a historical email sometimes. There is a way to do this on a browser, but I am not seeing the functionality on my phone. Am I missing something or is this not available?

Creating usable Standard Operating Procedures and Checklists in Karbon

I am training new team members so our standard operating procedures are quite detailed. For management accounts or year-end - I want them to run through a detailed checklist like so…. I have one test job open for management accounts and of course every task appears in my ToDo list which is horrifically overwhelming with just one job open!! I've created each of these checks as subtasks hoping they would not appear in the Work List but here they are! It will be unworkable if I roll this out. But if I set all the steps out in the notes - the person doing the job has nothing to check off and I have no way of knowing if they've considered every step without micromanaging the work.The only solution I can think of is to change the colour of the text of the steps actioned. But the visibility of that is lost when you come out of the task. I can of course opt for a much smaller list of headline tasks which would be much less overwhelming but then where do you put the detail of the SOP in a

Emails not assigned to Work

I would like to generate a list of emails for the firm that have NOT been assigned to work to make sure nothing is falling through the cracks and that the team is assigning their emails as they should. Does anyone know of a way to do that?
