Hey All -- hoping to solicit some feedback from the group from folks who have someone at their firm in a “project management” type role.In an ideal world, I would want someone to be the owner of all things Karbon and fill a project management / account management role to augment our client services team. For those of you who have someone in that role in a dedicated capacity, how do you define their day to day responsibilities? I have a general sense of what it might look like (see below) but for awhile now I have struggled with how to properly articulate the job description. A sample list of the representative responsibilities would be things like:Assigning workload / capacity management of team members’ work Monitoring and ensuring delivery of client deadlines Scheduling / planning new client work Oversight of Karbon hygiene (making sure due dates are set appropriately, statuses are being used appropriately, etc.)We are a team of 20+ and have used Karbon for a few years now. We have switched to Karbon from PipeDrive. In PipeDrive… I could create an Activity and invite people to the activity through PipeDrive. It would create an event on my google calendar, and send the invite emails to the client, so they could also have the event on their calendar. We could also “Make it a Zoom Meeting” by clicking the button that says… “make it a zoom meeting” and it would input the zoom information into the description. This whole process would take 10 seconds. Does Karbon have a feature I am missing? How do I create meetings and invite clients, with a video link through Karbon? Thanks,Matt
Hi allI am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of an update to the client onboarding template that replaces the old wording in the client request email, noting how the karbon checklist works (e.g. referencing a pin number instead of the new magic links)?
I have cleared an email from Karbon no less than a dozen times. It keeps popping back up in my Triage….It’s not because I am being tagged or someone is replying to the email, it’s the same thread with all of the same info and it just won’t stay away. Its very frustrating. Thank you!
What are some best practices for OneDrive integration?Our firm was excited to hear about the launch, but we haven't found a practical way to use it without making folders that directly correlate for each work item.Of course, some integrate naturally now, but not most. How have you been using it?
I tried dragging and dropping the invoice attachment into Bill.com like I usually would from my Office 365 email, nothing happens. Bill.com recognizes that I'm trying to upload a file but it's unable to read it. Does anyone have this issue? And is there a way to do this from Karbon and not have to go out to outlook for this task?
Hello all! We are wanting to move towards use of the time, budgets and future billing features of karbon. When we moved to karbon a year ago we also moved to QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time for our time and billing process. For various reasons billing in QuickBooks Online is not working well for us. The main reason we did not initially go with karbon for time was the lack of seeing and editing start and stop times, only having time duration. How do other firms work around this? It seems for DOL purposes that we should have a record of when an employee starts work and ends for the day and has a lunch break, etc. Do you use karbon timeclock for limited purposes and use another app for time for payroll, etc.? Or, am I missing something? Is there a workaround to track/notate the start and stop times? I think I need to show other managers in our firm the positives of having the time entered in karbon for productivity and budget measurement and planning purposes, but I will ne
I would like to be able to generate a list of a specific contact type, for example, a listing of all individual clients with their email addresses that I can then put in to a program like mailchimp so I can email to a specific group of client.Or generate a list of all the lawyers we deal with so we can send them something customized.
Looking for a report that can be sorted by colleague on amount of emails received and the response time for those emails. Trying to measure the response time for customer service (rec’d email then how long did it take for that colleague to respond to the email) ….using as a training tool.
I need to send pay slips to both the admin of an organization each month, and individually to each employee. We send pay slips as attachments to client requests. Please can someone tell me - do I create the contact for each employee as part of the organization create the employees as individuals, not connected to the organisation?I don’t want the employees to be able to access the clients account.
In reading some of the Time and Budget posts, it seems that some firms are using the Time and Budget feature and they are not connected to QuickBooks Time. I don’t know that for a fact but that is the impression I get. Is that possible?I initially started the setup for the integration but never completed it. When I go to disconnect the sync I get a message that I will no longer be able to track time in Karbon. My thinking was to get more comfortable with the Time and Budget features before turning on the integration.I would appreciate any clarification on this. Thanks all!
I have set up a work template. There are tasks on the template that may or may not need to be completed for that work. If it does not need to be completed, is there a better way than just marking it complete regardless? If we skip it the job won’t complete when the last task is ticked off.
I was wondering if anyone uses work items as a holding place for notes/emails at all. No real tasks assigned to this area, but a repository for conversations/information. Easily searchable notes/emails within the team. or for other things...welcome any thoughts on this or current best practices and ideas. Thanks!
