When importing and creating new contacts how can we tag different services provided to same client.

Example payroll, sales tax, bookkeeping and income tax.

Hi @Asif Vadaria, welcome to the Karbon community! 😀

That’s a great question. I’m curious how other firms handle this.

In the past we simply add work with the appropriate work types to the appropriate client, but this didn’t satisfy what we were trying to accomplish so we have started adding each client to “client groups” for the kind of work we do for them. We have a client group with all the partnership returns, and another group for weekly bookkeeping, etc.

On their details page you can quickly see all the kinds of work we do for the client based on their client groups, and if we want to send an email to all the partnership clients, we can go to the client group and download the list for an email merge.

That might not be what you’re asking, though.

Hi @Asif Vadaria

Similar to @max we are using Client Groups to quickly identify the service the client has engaged.

We use Ignition to prepare proposals and have integrated that with Karbon so that the correct work orders are set up for the specific level of service for the client as soon as they accept the proposal.

For example, if a client chooses our Silver package all the Silver level service items become work orders with the appropriate due dates and cycles.
