When an organisation is the primary owner of an email address and that email address is also linked to a contact, is there a way for it to show on the timeline with the contact’s name rather than the organisation’s name? For example, “Business” is the owner of “Person A” and “Person B”’s emails - when “Person A” emails us the email is auto tagged to the organisation’s timeline and shows up as the Organisation’s name and not “Person A”’s name. It can get confusing since it does not show who is exactly emailing us out of the 2 people. I know we can just click on the name to show which email address it came from but if there was a way to see the contact name without having to click further that would make it better from a visibility point of view. Thanks!
Does anyone know if there is the possibility of a preview pane in Triage. Maybe where the most recent email is open so I don’t need to click to expand every single email. It would save clicks. Perhaps there is a setting I don’t know about that allows for a preview pane @Craig Lohman
So we have a clients who we are attaching applicable emails to. However this client is installing a CRM and there is a lot of emails regarding this project. I am trying not to flood the contact with all the CRM emails. Is it possible to setup a tag say “CRM Info” that I can add to all the emails. I am thinking I can do that and search by it. I would love if I could setup up some sort of subfolder for “CRM info” so that all the correspondence goes in that “sub contact folder” . Has anyone tried something like this?
We have emails that are sent to our entire team in outlook so the individual email addresses are not included. So the first issue is the BCC issue which we see discussed. For now we are working around that by forwarding the email then saving it. But we got an email that related to SBA loan forgiveness that we want the entire team to be able to see. Emails like that we’d to attach to our team but emails appear to be only able to attach to work or contacts. Is there anyway to attach it to the team so everyone on our team can have access?BTW thank you for all the people who have helped me with our questions. It’s quite an impressive community.
I was tagged on an email from a colleague. I want to keep track of any additional comments or conversations in that email. It’s not related to a client it’s Karbon question. If I clear that out of my Triage how will I be able to find that email later. Is it only if another person adds a comment?
I tried dragging and dropping the invoice attachment into Bill.com like I usually would from my Office 365 email, nothing happens. Bill.com recognizes that I'm trying to upload a file but it's unable to read it. Does anyone have this issue? And is there a way to do this from Karbon and not have to go out to outlook for this task?
I am trying to save an email for instance form Karbon about new features. However I have no timeline to save it to since Karbon is not a client of ours they are a vendor. How do people clear this out of their Triage without adding it to a contact or timeline?
I have set up a work template. There are tasks on the template that may or may not need to be completed for that work. If it does not need to be completed, is there a better way than just marking it complete regardless? If we skip it the job won’t complete when the last task is ticked off.
I have been working on setting up Time & Budgets for our firm. There seems to be a problem with the timesheet approval process. When a colleague submits their timesheet for approval, I am not able to edit their timesheet entries. The How To Instructions specifically say that you should be able to do that. Here is a link to the article https://help.karbonhq.com/en/articles/4441703-review-and-approve-timesheets-as-a-time-administrator Has anyone else had this issue?
When I clear an email from Triage it is deleted from Outlook. Outlook loses the history on the email and it is not showing in trash or any other folder that i can see. It’s basically gone. I like a clean slate but this is odd to me. To lose the ability to find the email in my main email source is not good.Any thoughts on this?
This is not relevant to Karbon. But just want to see if any my peer firms (with 8-12 staff) have any recommendation of a good/cost-effective Managed IT service supplier to recommend? We are based in Sydney Australia. My main needs are:Procurement and management of IT equipment, mainly are laptops (if at a corporate discounted price, or leasing term, it will be better) Support to setup new laptop for new employees and remove content for leaving employees etc. Support to setup the new employee’s office 365 account and access to office 365,/MS Team IT guru/support when we have a service needs, e.g., when we need to realise some new feature with MS 365, MS Team, app connector etc., they can provide solution and implementation All other security and consistency in securitiy and IT policy measures
I cannot find this issue discussed anywhere else. When I paste a hyperlink in an email within Karbon, the link does NOT work when received by the recipient in Karbon. If the email is generated in Outlook with the link pasted in, then the link DOES work when received by recipient in Karbon. Is this a known issue and is there something I should be doing in Karbon to ensure that the recipient can open the link, without having to use the Outlook workaround?
We have clients with monthly Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) reporting PAYGW, but every 3rd month (last month in quarter) it is a Business Activity Statement (BAS) reporting both PAYGW for that month and GST for that quarter. Now i cannot set up a recurring job for the IAS alone, as the recurrance would be 2 months out of every 3 months. I have set up a monthly recurrance as all the team understand the third month is a different statement, however we charge some clients a different amount for the IAS and the BAS.Does anyone have a solution for this?
Hey there,I am integrated with practice ignition and I would like every default work type to be set as a certain status under my “Ready To Work” master list. However, it only lets me select a master type (Planned, Ready To Wortk, etc.) but I would like my default starting work to be “Waiting to be prepared.” How do I do this?
How does everyone track their write offs per team member? When we run a report it only shows the time over budget for the whole job and who the assignee is but not a breakdown of each team member. We have no way to track if a non assignee goes over their part of a work item? (Other than going into each job individually)
I am comfortably creating and updating workitems using the API with some hacky python scripts, but I’m unable to get recipient data into the workitems for templates with client tasks-- the API includes a “ClientTaskRecipient” object and I feel comfortable assuming that its “ClientKey” field is the ContactKey and the “EmailAddress” field is the contact’s e-mail don’t know if I’m right; have no clue what to pass into the “LinkType” field and am having difficulty getting a response from support, for it. Perhaps a little niche but I would love whatever insight anyone may have Thanks!Mike
