Malicious email

Hi TeamI’m new to Karbon, so please advise if this has already been raised.We’re receiving a lot of spam email with malicious links. I don’t want to simply clear the email and have it sitting around for someone to inadvertently click on the link at a later date. Our current practice is to log into Outlook and permanently delete the email, then return to Karbon. It’s not an ideal workflow, and I’d love someone to explain a better way.

Best Practices Question: If you have to send a request/question to a client how do you track followup?

Good day, everyone!We previously used Hubspot for our sales CRM (proved to be un-useful for ongoign client operations). It had a cool feature that if you sent a client an email or placed a call, you could schedule a follow up task or reminder to circle back with the client/lead if they failed to respond by X days (it had default 1 and 3 days, but you could select a custom amount). This email would then end up on a that future day’s task list. Additionally if the client/lead replied before then, the email inbox window would show on the right this email conversation has a follow up task, which you could clear right there since you were getting the follow up desired in the reply.For example:Monday send email: Client ABC, it appears the below list of team members have outstanding expense reports due last week. Can you follow up with them and let us know those are complete so we can process month close? I’d then put a follow up reminder 3 days from now if the client hasn’t responded o

Managing client emails

We’re looking for a way to better track client emails that need to be reviewed during the time of the month end close.We have one client that has multiple entities and sends a ton of emails. There are so many emails, this client even has their own inbox/user in Karbon. I will explain out current process in hopes that maybe there are better suggestions out there:I currently work on reviewing the clients emails. Each email gets assigned to the month-end close work item for the applicable entity - but there are a bunch of emails that get assigned to the month-end work item. Not ALL emails on the month-end work item need to be addressed by the accounting team during the month-end close. Currently, we have a group in Karbon of the 2 employees who work on this particular client. And whenever there’s an email that will be needed during the close-out, we tag that team in the comments - but unfortunately doing so floods the client teams triages. Running Slow

What is going on with the Karbon Practice Management app/program? It is running so slow that it’s almost impossible to use. I can’t get a hold of Support, or all Support wants to do is talk. I’m tired of talking. I want something to work. Could someone please get my Karbon Practice Management to work?

File downloads - The documents downloaded is less than the number of files available to download

When I press “Download” I never get a full download whether it’s 5 items or 27 items available (pictured below). A few items are always missing.

Adding third party contacts to client profiles

I’m wondering how people add third party contacts to existing client profiles? For example if you’re trying to add a client’s lawyer or banker as a contact on your clients profile but don’t need them as a stand alone contact.

Time Tracking from employee perspective

I am struggling with “just click the little clock and find your work item” Why are some clients not coming up for me or other members of my team? Why can I not find work that I know I am assigned to select as my work item? For the life of me, I can not figure out why I would be blocked out of this. These are clients I know exist, and that I have assigned work for.When I search for what seems like the VERY basic function how-to, I get sent to info about how to set this up as a manager, but not much about how to trouble shoot the actual “clock in and clock out” part. What am I missing?

Revising available capacity for planning when team members are leaving

I have an employee who just gave two weeks notice of resignation.To utilise the capacity planning report it would be good to be able to1) set a future end date;2) end available capacity from that date so the when running the capacity planning report it shows the ability of the remaining team to handle the excess workload until replacement staff arrive. In the interim we’ll try the suggested workaround being to submit a time entry and use the Time Off Task Types to reduce the capacity of that user for the planning period they are looking at.

Capacity Planning, time budgets - how best to set up work items

It drives me crazy that when a work item’s budget is assigned to only one team member at a time, even when two or more team members are working on the item. It’s like karbon things the overall time budget on the work item is what’s key, where I would argue that the time budget for each team member is what’s key.In order to get around this, I am considering breaking up our work items such that each item is only assigned to one person. So our monthly close work item would be broken up into, say, three work items: Reconciliations and anything else the bookkeeper does; adjustments and sales tax and anything else the account manager does; and review reports and hold advisory meeting and anything else the advisor does. It seems to me that this will lead to much more clarity around time budgets. What am I missing?I know one thing I am missing is that since work items can’t be dependent on each other that we will need to build in a step for the bookkeeper to kick of the next stage of the a

Conditional tasks

I have set up a work template. There are tasks on the template that may or may not need to be completed for that work. If it does not need to be completed, is there a better way than just marking it complete regardless? If we skip it the job won’t complete when the last task is ticked off.

Safari users

Is it just me or is the platform moving further and further away from supporting Safari?I am getting wierd results when @mentioning people, where you can select a name in the drop down box but nothing populates in the comments box. I also lose the cursor completely when typing comments in the box, such that when I open a comment, I can’t tell if I can edit until I actually start typping and then only the 2nd or 3rd letter of what I’m typing comes up!I regualarly have to clear out the cache due to random rendering issues and the Work screen is slow to populate after any change (like, 2-3 minutes slow), so I need to lan when I might need the information!

Sorting email in triage

Dear Karbon, Can you please add functionality to “sort” emails in Triage? If you have this, where does it exist? This is different from the search feature you already have. Your search feature does not resolve my issue. Use case, I have a busy week and receive 1000 emails. I cant keep up with my email and need to look at it during downtime. 62 of those are related to a particular client. I have no way to “sort” conversations related to that client, attach them as a batch to a timeline, and clear them all together. At present, I have to open gmail in another window, sort them, and then hunt and peck one by one in Karbon to attach them where they need to go. It used to be much simpler in gmail or outlook. I could grab all related emails, throw them where they needed to go and move on with my life. No w my inbox is severely backed up because of how long it takes to manually sort my email in triage. How do we resolve this very basis request?
