Out of Scope work

How does everyone manage their out of scope work? We are trying to decide if we should add a repeating work item each month for out of scope work for each client but not sure if that will create a lot more work for everyone having to close this each month? Any suggestions?

Default settings

Is there a way to set a default setting in Work.  I prefer the list view, but the system defaults to the Kaban view.

Search to do items

There is no direct way to search to do items? Only by looking at email and notes. Can I please suggest in the future that there is an option for this. Thank you

Safari users

Is it just me or is the platform moving further and further away from supporting Safari?I am getting wierd results when @mentioning people, where you can select a name in the drop down box but nothing populates in the comments box.  I also lose the cursor completely when typing comments in the box, such that when I open a comment, I can’t tell if I can edit until I actually start typping and then only the 2nd or 3rd letter of what I’m typing comes up!I regualarly have to clear out the cache due to random rendering issues and the Work screen is slow to populate after any change (like, 2-3 minutes slow), so I need to lan when I might need the information!

Internal reminders for @ Mentions

Hello! We are wondering if there is a way to create a reminder on internal @ mentions? When we have a question and @ mention each other either in a task, note or otherwise, we are noticing if the question is not answered immediately, it is forgotten and then we get behind. Is there a system where we can implement to set reminders on these things? Thank you!

Our Next Phase of Karbon - KPIs, Ad Hoc Assignments and QuickBooks Time

Hi AllI wanted to get the community’s help with our next phase of Karbon implementation. We have been using Karbon for just over a year now, and it has provided enormous benefits to our work organisation. Until now, we have used Karbon as a hub for all our work, and a place for team members to organise their own weekly tasks, however we are now getting to the stage where we want to advance our use of the software as we feel we could get much more from it. The main areas we are looking at are KPIs and time. We currently calculate KPIs manually, and report these in an excel file on a monthly basis. The process of gathering these is a little clunky to say the least. In terms of time, we currently use QuickBooks Time, but are yet to link through to Karbon.I’ve put my questions below, and am keen to hear how everyone else uses Karbon in these areas, so please share any thoughts and tips you think we may find useful as we transition into this next stage.  KPIsI know we can utilise the Insigh

Effect of entering new client tasks after initial email sent.

Hi all.  So I’ve setup a client task, sent the email to the the client requesting information and then noticed a further query.  I’ve now updated the client task with the new item.  Do I need to resend the email or will the client see the new task automatically? TIA

Uploading attachment in the comment

Hi, is there anyone experiencing our problem with uploading attachments into the comment section? Whenever we’ll click the upload icon and then select the attachment, it will just disappear as if nothing happens. We can only attach files by drag and drop which is sometimes inconvenient.

Filter by role

I was wondering if there is a way how to filter work items by roles, for example bookkeeper? I would like to have same view as when you filter all work by client manager role (which means you get work items assigned to CM and work items not currently assigned to CM).Is this possible?Thanks.

Triage Default View

Hello, Is there a way to set a filtered view in triage as a defualt view? I have a collegue that prefers to not utiilize the triage clearing feature. They would like to have a default view of only internal mentions that they can keep track of. Is this a current feature or do you need to change the filtered view every time you open triage in karbon?

Tracking External Partners

Hello! One of the biggest project management tasks I have is now solved with Karbon, and that is tracking client work.  The second biggest is tracking work I have outsourced to other firms.  I have this all over the place and it is getting messy.  How do you guys track this?  Do you just add work to the contact like you would a client?

email to work

have repeat payroll jobs set up.  when an email comes in you want to allocate it to the correct work, but because it is a repeat job, and not due for a couple of weeks, it brings up all the payrolls for that jobs that span the next 3 months, and without making it ready to start, how do you know which is the correct month you are allocating it to, as there are no dates in this area, it just says that the work is planned

CRT click on work

Typically when I crt click on a link it opens the link in a new tab. This is true for every link on the internet. However when I try to do that on the name of a work, I get a pop-up with the job info. How do I stop this from happening so I can open it in a new tab? It’s really interfering with my workflow to not be able to do this and getting this pop-up instead. Thanks!

Notifications

How can you get a notification other than actually opening up the software and looking at your triage items?  Like Outlook notifications pop up on your computer when you get an email.

Changing client basics

Hi everyone,Just wondering if there is a way to change client details - specifically client category. Under the contact - Details- client Basics- client categoryClient Category is currently being shown as Organisations, and it is meant to be Individual. However, I cannot seem to edit this when I press edit. Does anyone know how to change this within the client details? Any help is appreciated.
