Hi, I see on the Karbon release notes that Calendar Integration has launched?But I can;t see anywhere in myweek to ‘Connect to Calendat’It takes less than 30 seconds to set up the integration. Simply navigate to My Week and click on ‘Connect calendar’ and sign in to your calendar provider. Am I just jumping the gun or do I have to do anything to activate this feature?Thanks
Best practice for work items: I would like to understand the best way practises setup tasks for clients to manage clients and internal staff. i.e. Bookkeeping (do you create the tasks split or in one job) i.e. Bank reconciliation, DEXT, VAT, CIS etc or run these as all separate jobs which will clog the jobs board up very quickly however dates won’t get missed. How is the task tracked again time and budget if these are separate jobs but one costing to do the worki.e. Payroll (collate and run payroll and then file EPS) but with different deadline dates to process payroll and the file EPS. I would welcome and thoughts and support. Many thanks, Jeremy
We have emails that are sent to our entire team in outlook so the individual email addresses are not included. So the first issue is the BCC issue which we see discussed. For now we are working around that by forwarding the email then saving it. But we got an email that related to SBA loan forgiveness that we want the entire team to be able to see. Emails like that we’d to attach to our team but emails appear to be only able to attach to work or contacts. Is there anyway to attach it to the team so everyone on our team can have access?BTW thank you for all the people who have helped me with our questions. It’s quite an impressive community.
What’s ya’lls process for setting up recurring work items that contain different task lists and/or client task requests. We need to send out different requests for quarterly jobs based on the pertinent quarter. I am struggling to find a streamlined way to have the work item set up as recurring but keep the info/requests up to date for every quarter since the information, requests, and estimate payment due dates vary so much between quarters (+ we are always tweaking our templates to improve them!).It is so cumbersome, and without the ability to drag + drop / copy from other templates we end up having to reinvent the template “wheel” every quarter and then typically resort to manually resetting each of the work items for that quarter to the updated template.There has got to be a better way! Help! 😁
Is there anyway to do this in karbon as it’s rather annoying not being able to!Edited to add: This is for client emails - some don’t require client tasks but are still urgent enough to require the flag. The only way I’ve been able to get around this is sending through outlook but copying myself in so it’ll pull through into Karbon too for the client’s timeline.I’ve submitted this as an idea -
Does anyone have or know of a publicly available video or training materials that can be provided to clients showing how to use/operate client tasks? There’s this page in the support knowledge base, but it’s written from the perspective of a Karbon user, not a client. Would anyone else find it useful to be able to copy a section of a template to work items. This would be so helpful when updating existing work items. I put in a feature request for this. If you think this would be useful, please make a request as well. Requests can be submitted by going to Help and Feedback and choosing this.
I was wondering if anyone uses work items as a holding place for notes/emails at all. No real tasks assigned to this area, but a repository for conversations/information. Easily searchable notes/emails within the team. or for other things...welcome any thoughts on this or current best practices and ideas. Thanks!
I am training new team members so our standard operating procedures are quite detailed. For management accounts or year-end - I want them to run through a detailed checklist like so…. I have one test job open for management accounts and of course every task appears in my ToDo list which is horrifically overwhelming with just one job open!! I've created each of these checks as subtasks hoping they would not appear in the Work List but here they are! It will be unworkable if I roll this out. But if I set all the steps out in the notes - the person doing the job has nothing to check off and I have no way of knowing if they've considered every step without micromanaging the work.The only solution I can think of is to change the colour of the text of the steps actioned. But the visibility of that is lost when you come out of the task. I can of course opt for a much smaller list of headline tasks which would be much less overwhelming but then where do you put the detail of the SOP in a
Hello.I’m trying to work out why work items are appearing in my My Week, when I have no involvement. I understand that when you re-assign all your tasks that you still remain on the ‘Work team’, but even if I remove myself from work team, the work still appears in my My Week.There are work items in my My Week that I have never had any tasks or emails assigned to me. The only way I can think I was involved as someone tagging me in a comment.Am I doing something wrong?
How does everyone track their write offs per team member?When we run a report it only shows the time over budget for the whole job and who the assignee is but not a breakdown of each team member.We have no way to track if a non assignee goes over their part of a work item? (Other than going into each job individually)
OH I can’t believe I can’t figure this out. I setup a monthly task from a template called give it a name of “TPT Filing April 2022” The dates are May 1 to May 20When I do the repeating I see the following: I select repeating period so it looks like this:But the repeat preview always shows “TPT Filing June 2022” with due dates in June. The next one should be May I don’t know how to fix this?Can anyone help?I am sure this is easy :)
