Credit Card Fee

Is there a way to charge a flat credit card fee to the client so we don't absorb the cost? With the current software I use, We charge a flat 3% to the client. I would love to use Karbon for billing although this would be vital as it would end up costing us thousands a year to absorb that cost

How to assign to a colleague a client task? Is it possible?

Is it possible to assign a client task to my colleague instead to the client? I have some request to my client but my Manager had already the access online on it. Instead of making emails monthly I just want to use the client task to make automate and have the checklist what are already provided. Is it possible?

Contact Search

Are you able to search for clients by typing in their address, seen that it was suggested as an idea about a year ago and not sure if it has been added in.Also are you able to customize what comes up client into wise when you do search, did a phone number on and it is just the organizations name, I need to click into it to see the phone number, wondering if that is a default setting type thing to show that.

Where is the To-Do List Feature in Karbon?

Hello Karbon Community,I've encountered a puzzling issue regarding the To-Do List feature. Despite watching videos and reading articles about how to use the To-Do List, I can't seem to find it anywhere within Karbon.I was particularly excited about this feature when we were initially looking into getting Karbon, as it seemed like a powerful tool for task management. However, it's been challenging to utilize something that appears to be missing entirely from our platform.I'm wondering if the To-Do List feature has been removed or if there's a specific setting that needs to be enabled for our company to access it. All the resources I've come across only explain how to use the feature without addressing where to find it or how to enable it.Could someone please clarify if the To-Do List feature still exists in Karbon? If so, is there a specific step I need to take to enable it for our company?Any guidance or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Is there a way to send the client request without the checklist?

Hello,I just wanted to ask if there were any methods or workarounds to sending client request emails without the checklist to a client. This would help my company in automating some emails without the need of working around a checklist.At the moment, for our client request “notifications”, we have developed a temporary workaround where we send the request as an email notifying that whatever they have done has been successful, and they can check off the checklist stating they have seen the email. Either way though, an automator has already been set up to complete the work once this notification has been sent out. So to recap, I wanted to ask:Can I schedule and send an automated email in a work template without a checklist? Is there some way I can use Karbon to send out quarterly “newsletters” automatically? Perhaps within a work template? In a client request email, is it possible I can embed an image into the body by any chance (not as an attachment, but the image is loaded in the email

Updating work with new templates

Is there any way to update existing work created from template when template is edited with new changes. When we update the template, the old work is not getting updated which creates confusion, ideally there should be a way to retrospectively update created work when a template is updated.

Is there a way to turn off all automators on work items

We created work from template which had automators to update status and assignee. Due to some changes , we created new templates. Now the old automators are causing confusions. Is there any setting/ option which we can enable to pause automators on some work type or for templates?We will need to do these on bulk so can’t turn off automators by going into each work item.

Items not appearing in Triage when they should, coming in days later

Has anybody else experienced this recently?I've contacted support who are going to look into it, but wondered if others have experienced the same (and can provide more data points to support and engineering).Email 1:An email I turned Notify me On a few weeks ago. New responses were coming into my Triage for me to review and clear. On Monday I noticed the item was in my Triage, but there were new responses that had not come into my Triage before Monday, even though I'd cleared Triage (completely since those replies)Email 2:I was mentioned in an email conversation on Monday and cleared it.On Tuesday morning there was an email response on the conversation and the item didn't come into my Triage.On Wednesday morning my Triage, which had been 0 unread, changed to 1, but I didn't have a new item at the top of my Triage, I scrolled down and saw an unread item from Tuesday, that had only just appeared 🤔

Auto-Sharing - Colleagues on vacation/leave - Work arounds?

tl;dr - If auto-sharing of email is on, does Karbon handle this in the background even if the user isn’t logging in? Scenario - trying to work around not being able to ‘share’ colleagues triages/inboxes through KarbonWe currently have a colleague on leave.As a work around to not being to access their triage we have set in the back end of our email system to deliver anything addressed from colleague@ to assist@ (our shared triage)The idea behind this was that we’d be able to add job timelines on emails that come in and keep jobs moving while the colleague is away.The issue we are having here is the emails arrive in assist@ but show TO as the colleague and Karbon is treating this like a BCC. So obviously our work around doesn’t work which has lead me to thinking of it another way. We can obviously search emails in Karbon from colleagues (We all have auto-share on) and this allows me to add emails to a timeline even if I’m not the recipient. This could work for our purpose, however we are

Time on Job 'Actual' doesn't balance to time sheet.

Hi all, Has anyone had an issue where the time on job doesn’t appear to balance with the time sheets?Not sure if I’m filtering incorrectly, or if this is a bug. Screen shot of ‘Budget by Team Member’ on the job with 4h 42m of actual timeTime Entry reports are only showing as 2.5hours   Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated :)

Karbon keeps crashing

Hi, has anyone noticed that karbon is crashing quite alot recently.My team are all impacted so it’s not just one person. Plus we all work remotely so it’s not our internet causing the problemsJust now Karbon is stalling with a spinning wheel. We had the same issue last week and a couple of weeks before.

Unbilled Fixed Fee work and expenses work not showing up on Billing even when searched by client name.I invoice my clients based on a value pricing model

I invoice my clients using a value pricing model. There is no tracking of billable hours. I have added the amount to the “Time and Budget” of the task as a Fixed Fee (per Billing> Engagement parameters), but it doesn’t show up on the unbilled section. (I did not create an engagement invoice since I don’t do monthly billing. The Fixed Fee amount doesn’t show up. I have also tried entering it as an Expense. But again, it doesn’t show up in Billing> unbilled.I even searched by the client’s name. This has happened on several of my clients.In addition, you cannot adjust anything in the Budget section if you entered something wrong.Can anyone tell me if I’m doing something wrong? Is there a work around? It’s hard to get paid from clients when you can’t invoice them…

Organizing the Karbon Documents Tab With Subfolders?

Is there a way to organize the Karbon storage in such a way that we are able to have the client documents in subfolders? I.E instead of having all the different documents uploaded by the clients mixed in randomly, we can create a custom folder in the documents tab named “Tax returns”, and so on

How do you enter a contact with multiple contact types?

How do you enter a contact with multiple contact types?  We have Customer and Professional Alliance as contact types. Often Professional Alliances are also Customers and Customers are also Professional Alliances. How do you all manage something like this. Up to this point the Customer Contact types is given preference  in our contacts.

Can Karbon Practice Management shows if an estimate tax payment voucher has been prepared for an individual taxpayer in Lacerte?

Can Karbon Practice Management shows if an estimate tax payment voucher (Form 1040-ES) has been prepared for an individual taxpayer in Lacerte? It does not necessary need to have the amount of the calculated estimate tax payment being shown in work in Karbon.
