Email Signature Not Attached When Sending Emails Through Karbon

I’ve been experiencing an issue where, when I send emails through Karbon using my Gmail account, my email signature doesn’t get attached to the emails. I’m unsure why this is happening and would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue. How can I ensure that my email signature is always attached, even when sending emails through Karbon?

Quaarterly Naming Convention

Hello,Is there anyway to utilize the current naming conventions to display quarterly engagements for recurring work items? For example, we would like to have a work item labeled “Accounting Services - Q3 2024” and create a naming scheme that rolls the years and quarters forward properly. We current have the months of the quarter in the work title but its far less clean. Any advice on this? Best, Nick

Filtering & Updating Invoices via the API

In an effort to streamline processes here, we’re attempting to implement a few process automations at our firm. One such process is exporting and importing invoices to Xero automatically via the API (creating draft invoices, etc) outside of the general exporting to excel, which leaves us with a few questions. #1 - Is there a way to filter/pre-filter requests to the API to fetch Invoices? The current Endpoint only appears to allow ordering by Invoice Date when fetching all invoices. #2 - Is there any way to update the status of an Invoice, apart from the Endpoint to create a manual payment to an invoice? Thanks.

Recurring Events

I have many recurring work items showing up in my week because they were set up to be created 6 months before the work started. I went in and edited this to have them be created only 2 weeks before work starts (so they should only be showing up 2 weeks before Jan 1), but they are still showing up in my week. Why??? This is so annoying.

Sent email show from me? Not to who I sent to?

Have I missed a set up feature? When I look at my sent e-mails, they show that I sent them, rather than who i sent to. I would like to see who I sent it to instead.

Visibility to comments

We now encourage a lot to use comments for internal communication. There is an indicator in the pane to show how many staff can see the message. But when I click that, I cannot see which staff has the visibility.I am wondering, what is the quickest way to do that in current version of KARBON? And quickest way to remove those staff who is not required to be notified. and I would be happy to see if this feature can be added directly to show the staff name when I click on the visibility number. I am wondering if other peer firm may have the same need.

I’m curious how y’all are using Zapier?We are currently using it to in conjunction with TypeForm to collect and add client data to Karbon and QBO and create a client file in our file system.We’ve run into some issues, so I’m curious who else is using it and how you’re dealing with some of the problems.

fee balance

How do you clean up the remaining fee balance balance between budget and actual after you raise the invoice and need to either write up or off the fee balance? I want to clean up balance when we complete the work and have a nil balance to bring forward to next financial year.Is it possible to carry some balance forward due to it’s ongoing nature and clean off some? Time & Billing and Fixed Fee

Does anyone use Time and Billing in Karbon and have mostly a fixed fee pricing structure? If you do, how to determine job profitability in Karbon, or do you?Our business is about 95% fixed fee. For us, having a billing rate in Karbon for each role is not useful in determining job profitability. Ideally, I would need to load into Karbon the loaded hourly rate for each employee (not just role). Currently we track our time and billing in Xero’s PracticeManagement and we can get job profitability out of that system. We would rather use Karbon for Time and Billing since the it would reducing switching cost between the two app during the day. I know that I could export the time data and dump it into a data analysis tool to determine job costing, but that requires a manual process and additional work that I don’t really want to do. Also, I would like to keep everything in Karbon if possible.
