Credit Card Fee

Is there a way to charge a flat credit card fee to the client so we don't absorb the cost? With the current software I use, We charge a flat 3% to the client. I would love to use Karbon for billing although this would be vital as it would end up costing us thousands a year to absorb that cost

Searching for External Comments

If you are tasked with searching for external comments for a client what do you do? Really any comments that could be buried on a work item seem to be lost unless you look through each task or client task. Does anyone have a good way of managing this?Does anyone know of a way to do a keyword search of comments?

Timesheets - sorting time entry lines

Is there a way to adjust the order of Time Entry lines?We have quite a number of people who are adding the start/stop times in the Notes box, but this doesn't appear to let you adjust the order of the entries

Activity Notification or Report

Is it possible to obtain a report or identify the time and date when a work item from within all work items reaches a certain status?For example, when customers complete their client task, the status is changed to Data Received. If 20 customers all complete the client task on the same day or over a few days, I want to be able to determine the order of who completed first without having to open every work item to see the time and date. This will enable me to keep a first in first out workflow going.

Organizing Tasks using "Getting Things Done"

Any chance we can customize our Triage Task list?For example, we have Low Priority and Later, but I’d like to be able to organize tasks using the Getting Things Done method.Karbon aligns fairly well but not close enough. Can we gain some control over our Triage options?For example, changing “Low Priority” to “Waiting For” and/or creating a “Next Actions” list.It would be very helpful to Triaged items by context instead of by priority.

Auto-Sharing - Colleagues on vacation/leave - Work arounds?

tl;dr - If auto-sharing of email is on, does Karbon handle this in the background even if the user isn’t logging in? Scenario - trying to work around not being able to ‘share’ colleagues triages/inboxes through KarbonWe currently have a colleague on leave.As a work around to not being to access their triage we have set in the back end of our email system to deliver anything addressed from colleague@ to assist@ (our shared triage)The idea behind this was that we’d be able to add job timelines on emails that come in and keep jobs moving while the colleague is away.The issue we are having here is the emails arrive in assist@ but show TO as the colleague and Karbon is treating this like a BCC. So obviously our work around doesn’t work which has lead me to thinking of it another way. We can obviously search emails in Karbon from colleagues (We all have auto-share on) and this allows me to add emails to a timeline even if I’m not the recipient. This could work for our purpose, however we are

CRT click on work

Typically when I crt click on a link it opens the link in a new tab. This is true for every link on the internet. However when I try to do that on the name of a work, I get a pop-up with the job info. How do I stop this from happening so I can open it in a new tab? It’s really interfering with my workflow to not be able to do this and getting this pop-up instead. Thanks!

Repeating work and assignees

We have work that is set up to repeat. The work has a consistent Client Owner and Manager, but the preparer role is someone different each time it comes around based on availability. When the work repeats the preparer tasks are automatically assigned to the preparer from the previous occurrence of the work. Is there a way to have the tasks set to no one? When the new work is created from the repeat, I would still like them to be for the “preparer” roll but not assigned to a specific employee.

Editing automators for 'client queries'

We want to be able to ‘edit’ the client queries task for each client. If our initial email can go out on a different date from when the work flow starts. WE do not want the email to go to the clients the day the work flow starts as this is not when these items are due. Due date for example is the 15th of the month, we would like reminders to start going out to the client on the 16th. Is there a way to do this? i’ve been researching online, but can not find an answer. I have tried to change this, but then it changes the work flow date. We have removed the automator for a specific client because of this. The client marks off that they have done the specific tasks in order to stop receiving the reminders and yet they have not yet done the tasks they in fact, marked off. So as the information we need from them is due the 15th we want this to go out to them on the 16th, basically when its overdue.

Time Entry

I’m trying to start using time and budget entry in Karbon. We connected the Tsheets with Karbon and when we try to log time I need to choose a “service item” as a required field. In the drop down list are a few listed but not the ones I want. Where is this list coming from and where could I edit it?

Team Exporting Work Report

Remove placeholder accounts from Email Insights

I’m reviewing our Email Insights and for the first time I noticed that our placeholder accounts are being calculated. We have colleague accounts that have never been activated for placeholders and between the three of them, I’m wondering what kind of impact this is having on my overall metrics.How can we remove the non-activated accounts from the calculations?

Issues with merging clients

Has anyone else run into the issue where you cannot merge clients because they have a client request assigned to them? The contact that would be going away doesn’t have any work associated with that contact so I am not sure why that would be an issue. I don’t think there will ever be a time where they won’t have a client request section. So I guess this feature is useless to me. ☹️Has anyone done this successfully? Do you have a work around for this issue?

Time zones

When I drag work from my week to my calendar, the time zone used appears to be EST. That’s great for me, however, in Outlook it shows as Coordinated Universal time. If I edit that task in Outlook, I have to aware of this or it will shows in an odd time slot. Anyway to assure the time is always EST?

Jobs for each question or service

Hi allIncluded within our services is a support option for clients to ask quick questions. I am trying to decide whether it is better practice to create a single ‘Support’ job for each client where all emails and time get allocated for the year or whether it’s better to have a separate job created for each email all allocated to the Support service type. Option 1 pros: has a single budget we can track progress against, all queries can be seen under a single job.Option 2 pros: better tracking of each question via the job, can allocate a budget for each query to keep staff on track. My main concern with option 1 is not having sufficient tracking on each query but I suppose this could be resolved via email insignts. Main concern with option 2 is not being able to properly track the time against the budget for the year. E.g. if we charge a client $1,500/year I want to know how we’re going against that. Any feedback welcome. CheersMatt
