Karbon Needs Spell Check!!!

Hmm. So weird. I have Grammarly and it never works inside Karbon?

Task Type Report

For Work Type:Go to the sidebar work. Select all work and get rid of all filters and then turn it into a list instead of a kanban. One column will be work type (if not, you can add). Then you can sort by work type. You can also filter by work type, so if you want your kanban view of just a certain work type you can do that. I don’t think there is anything for task type though?

We were using the free version of hubspot (never scanned a card). I’ve ended up no longer using it and just use Karbon. I have contact types, prospect, prospect lost, etc, I keep all my emails and call in the timeline of that client, and I have a work that flows through how we handle prospects.

No Office 365 signature found to import.

Hi. This happened at my firm. Support gave me one work around that worked for two employees, but nothing would fix it for the rest. Support simply said to email them the signature and they would make it for all the employees and they did!

I do not recommend storing client cc details in Karbon notes. You need a secure encrypted solution to store the card info where no one can see it. What you’re doing may be convenient but it’s a liability risk for you. We have been struggling with this, since Karbon suggest you can put them in the details as they say they are secure enough. We are not really interested in a LastPass or something like that. Is Microsoft 365 secure enough? We could link to a online excel sheet as @Rebecca Williams does with a google document.

How much are you spending on your tech stack?

Hi @David Campbell. We had Sharefile, that all of our clients have been on for years and we are relatively new to Karbon so only a few clients are using the client request feature so far. We haven’t yet done any of the DMS integration since all our files are on our own server that is not connected to Google Drive or Microsoft 365.

What are others preferred app stack choices and why?

The presentation slides on that first recording BrooksW posted are GREAT! Shame its there 2020 app stack. Would love to see an updated version for 2023.

How to find just your @ mentions

Wow, I never noticed that in Triage. Was so excited, went and tried it and then realized what everyone else pointed out, if the email was cleared it’s not showing up.

Repeating work Work Naming Convention

I think the single year is still working for me, but if not the other option would be to use work start date minus xxx. So for instance, if you have things starting in Jan 2023 that you want to say “2022 NAME” use start date minus 30 days, or even 365 days, etc. We do this a lot for the monthly tasks. We use start date minus 28 days (since no month is shorter then 28 days) and just display the month. It works really well, as anything started in Feb says “Jan Name”.

Two Client Requests in same Work Item

@max Hi. Its more confusing if you are emailing two co-owners or something like that, but this is actually perfect for my needs. The emails to the employee won’t be comingled with the employer!

What are others preferred tools?

Does anyone put a username/password inside a task? When we were being sold on Karbon, I noted that the previous software we were using had a “vault” with each account where you would place passwords and that needed another password to see them. He said Karbon is so secure that we can just put the passwords in the tasks themselves - but we are a bit unsure about that.
