How to link SharePoint with Karbon

I am trying to link Karbon to my DMS (SharePoint) and it’s not working. Here is what I’ve done:

  1. Karbon → Settings → Document Storage → Clicked “Connect” for OneDrive (including SharePoint)
  2. Clicked “Authorize” → accepted all the terms from the page

Now in “Connect Document Management System” the OneDrive (including SharePoint) option shows “disconnect” as the option. I have a note above that says “Admin Permission Required - To connect to a document management system you will need permission to authorize app connections within the document management system itself.”

I am unable to find a tutorial on how to do this.

When I go into a work item, then into then into “Documents”, then “Connect Folder” - I see an “Authenticate” button. When I press that I am taken to another screen that says “There was a problem authenticating your OneDrive (including SharePoint) account. Try again.”

Hi @Zachary Jonas,

Does this Microsoft link help at all? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/misc/user-consent?view=o365-worldwide

🙂

I think the link is very relevant and may potentially help other users but that doesn’t appear to be the issue in my case.

  1. I used your link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/misc/user-consent?view=o365-worldwide - but my checkbox was selected to allow users to provide consent.
  2. Inside that workbox is a link about granting Admin consent. Here is that link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/entra/identity/enterprise-apps/user-admin-consent-overview
  3. Within that article, I clicked on this link about granting tenant-wide access to a third-party app: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/entra/identity/enterprise-apps/grant-admin-consent?pivots=portal#prerequisites
  4. I then went into my Microsoft Entra admin account and can see KarbonHQ-OneDrive as a connected app. Inside the Microsoft Entra Sign-In logs for the KarbonHQ-OneDrive app - it is showing one request (the first entry) with the status of “interrupted” and then a number of more recent requests with a status of “success”.
    1. I’m assuming the follow up requests were me re-trying over and over again to authenticate.

Thanks

Damn.. have you contacted Karbon Support? They may know 🤞🏾

@Zachary Jonas Did you find any success with this Zahary? I have similar issues like yours. Thanks.

@Sam W I have not. I emailed support (support@karbonhq.com) three days ago and have not yet received a response.
