I’m wondering how people add third party contacts to existing client profiles? For example if you’re trying to add a client’s lawyer or banker as a contact on your clients profile but don’t need them as a stand alone contact.

That being said, there is no harm in adding them as a Contact and then you can associate them with the Client and specify their relationship/role.
We use different Contact Types (other than Client or Client Contact - Owner) to separate them from the “Client”, e.g. Bookkeeper, Practice Manager
