Email Templates

Related products: Triage Settings

One of the most highly requested features by our community—email templates—are now available. These templates play a crucial role in ensuring consistency across all communications, including message content, tone, and brand identity, regardless of who is sending the email.

Admins can create custom email templates for the entire firm to use. To access this feature, simply navigate to the Settings > Email Templates. From there, Admins can easily create and manage templates that reflect your firm's unique communication style and branding.

When composing, replying or forwarding an email, you'll find a dedicated icon in the messaging editor to easily apply an email template. If no templates are available, the icon will be inactive.

If you’ve selected a template but have changed your mind, click the icon again to select a different template.

This will be awesome

Can we use placeholders for VAT Numbers, PAYE Ref’s etc?

Thanks

Paul

A welcome addition and will mean less reliance on having to use email outside of Karbon.

Please add placeholders such as the work name, due date

I find the limit of 4000 characters is very limiting even in the first template I created

I have been reading about AI in email by Karbon, by when can we expect that?

Thanks!

Having placeholders for Work name or Due Dates would be great.  As in “Your June bookkeeping has been completed”

Yes this good but we’ll need placeholders for it to be really useful

Been waiting for templates, thank you!

Some things I’d love to see:

  1. The subject of the email as part of the template
  2. Save email templates to be used specifically for each client

Agree placeholders would be good!

I just tested this functionality and found it to be impressive. I've set 'keywords', such that typing "Follow up - " displays all the follow-up emails.

Our collection of standard responses has been transferred to Karbon.

This feature is certainly beneficial and will reduce the need to rely on GPT for every instance where a preset email is available.

Thanks Development team! 😎

Would be great if it wasn’t just a searchable list, but to have categories when selecting the wanted template (if you don’t know what you’re looking for).

Also, placeholders with popus similar to Text Blaze (our current template solution) would be nice!

Totally Agree - most of our templates are detailed instructions and 4000 words is limiting

This is awesome. Would be great to have the same thing for Notes not just emails.

This is great, it would be good when you select email templates that a list pulls through just like for work item templates so everyone can see what templates are in there

As many have mentioned above, I would love to see;

  • Placeholders
  • Categories/Grouping (same for work templates)
  • Subject Headings
  • Client Level Templates

Oh and the ability to add an attachment to the template please!

Thank you for all your feedback! This is a first version and we will look to add more functionality to email templates in the future.

Hi @Nikhar Mathur,

You can register your interest in the AI Beta here:

🙂

Would be good if we could allow permissions to add these in without providing full admin rights?

Agree, same for Work Templates 🙂

@Michelle Turner vote for this 🙂

As mentioned here by quite a few, the very first template I went to create was well over the 4000 characters.  So I trimmed, then the same with the next.  I do get that long emails suck!  And Im guessing this is part of the reason for the limit.
But I have a lot of optional bits in my templates… for example, I have one tax return template that I edit for specifics.  I dont need a few tax return templates, having 1 that I can update continuously is easy and quick.

A subject line would be cool too, though at the moment we can add to top of template + copy in.

Yes I agree, 4000 characters is no sufficient on my first attempt either.

I have been wishing for this! Thank you.

Awesome - this is a great first step!

After a few of the items above are incorporated (placeholders, etc.), it will be a game changer!

Glad I’m not the only one hitting the character limit - the first one I tried was over 30,000 characters apparently! Guess I’m leaving that one in a Google Doc for now...
