Assistance Needed: Tracking Clients by Date Added in Karbon

Is it possible to send out a mass email? We just got a new owner and we would like to be able to send out a letter to all of our clients all at once but we are not sure the best way to do this.

Spam Emails not in Outlook

I have noticed I have emails showing in my triage that are not showing in my outlook? I have check the spam/junk account and they don’t show there in outlook either.Any idea where these have come from and why they would show in Karbon triage?

Is it possible to only send a client request email without any client tasks? I have a lot of clients who won’t want another login/code and would much prefer to just provide information to an email.Thank you

Does anyone know how to retrieve a contact's BusinessCardKey through the API?

thanks all, hope tax season wasn’t too fraught this year pretty simple question! I’m hoping to use the BusinessCard endpoint to both GET and PUT contacts’ BusinessCards but I can’t for the life of me find the contacts’ associated “BusinessCardKey” anywhere doesn’t show up when I GET either all contacts or an individual contact with its ContactKey, so I dug a little deeper the Expand System Query Function ($expand) indicated in the odata uri specifications is returning this error:'{"error":{"code":"4002","message":"Query option \'Expand\' is not allowed. To allow it, set the \'AllowedQueryOptions\' property on EnableQueryAttribute or QueryValidationSettings."}}' when I run this python GET with the requests library:r = requests.get('https://api.karbonhq.com/v3/Contacts?$expand=BusinessCard', headers=ACCESS_HEADERS)(where ACCESS_HEADERS is an object containing my AccessKey, Authorization, and contact-type values) thanks again!Mike

Printing Templates or Work

We are planning a review of our templates and looking to update as needed. Given that there are multple staff involved - it would be create if we could print or download templates into a spreadsheet and make our updates off line before adding online.Is there a way to print templates?

Client request - Copy list of tasks to excel

Is there a way to copy all tasks in a client request to excel (or word doc) other than going into each task and copying them one by one?A client is having trouble using Karbon and we need to request information from them ASAP, how can I copy the tasks in one shot to place in a regular email?

Timesheet - "Q1-Auto Lock on Daily", and "Q2-Filling up timesheet after completion of each WORK."

Q1: In Karbon, being an organization, we provide the access to all our staff to fill up their DAILY TIMESHEET at the end of the day, which helps us to identify how many hours are worked by each staff. Further, at current they are having access to the timesheet for the PREVIOUS DAY, so it’s been noticed that they are filling up the timesheet just before the month's end for SALARY purposes (instead of daily), so IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET an “AUTO LOCK” TIMESHEET ON a “DAILY BASIS” SO THEY CAN HAVE HABIT TO FILLUP TIMESHEET ON DAILY BASIS BEFORE THEY LEFT HOME? IN THIS CASE, THEY WON’T BE ABLE TO ADD TIMESHEET FOR THE PREVIOUS ANY DAY, THEY HAVE TO APPROACH TO THEIR REPORTING MANAGER TO GET ENTERED OR ELSE WILL BE COUNT AS LEAVE FOR THAT DAY. Q2: in Karbon, is it possible that as and when any staff is changing the status of any WORK to COMPLETED or sending for further REVIEW of WORK, then does Karbon have a system to “AUTO REMIND” users to add their TIMESHEET for completed work on the spot?

Two Client Requests in same Work Item

Hi. I have a payroll work for one client who needs me to email a payroll slip to one employee. So, I inside one work I want to have one client request, where I send all Payroll to client, and then a second client request to the employee. My question is - if the employee gets the client request and then creates an account, will they see all the client request that are associated with their email, or all client requests that are with that company?

Colleagues able to make changes in someone else's My Week?

Hi everyone,We would like to encourage colleagues in supervisory roles to periodically check in on their assigned staff’s My Week as an added layer of transparency. However, when testing this out today, we realized that if you go into a colleagues My Week, it is possible for you to make changes, like moving things around or even moving something to Done. That makes me nervous. I don’t think any of our staff would move anything intentionally, but accidents happen, right? Has anyone run into this concern? How did you handle it?Thanks,Kara

Work Creation - Bulk Change Create Work

Is it possible to perform a bulk change to the Create Work field in repeating work items? For example, I have 400+ work items that will be triggered into creation on 10/15 as the create work is currently set to 6 months before work start date. I would like to bulk change this to 3 Months before work start date (ideally 4 or 5, however not a choice available).Or is this something that could only be done on the back-end by Karbon support?t/y

There is a video I would like to send to a client about the new portal access. It says you can send a copy, but how do you get a link to send it? Is it just the help article link? My Client Wants to Access their Responses to Client Tasks

My client wants to be able to view his client task which relates to payroll and timesheets/hours. He provides us in the comments the hours his staff has worked but wants to be able to go back and view his response.Once the Work Item has been completed, does this mean that he can’t access that anymore?I have created a test Work Item with Acme Corporation and noticed that when I communicate, the client doesn’t receive a new email with any additional comments. Is this the norm?

Karbon Practice Intelligence: Field that should be available is not available for use in a measure

karbon time - no start and stop times in record

Hello all! We are wanting to move towards use of the time, budgets and future billing features of karbon. When we moved to karbon a year ago we also moved to QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time for our time and billing process. For various reasons billing in QuickBooks Online is not working well for us. The main reason we did not initially go with karbon for time was the lack of seeing and editing start and stop times, only having time duration. How do other firms work around this? It seems for DOL purposes that we should have a record of when an employee starts work and ends for the day and has a lunch break, etc. Do you use karbon timeclock for limited purposes and use another app for time for payroll, etc.? Or, am I missing something? Is there a workaround to track/notate the start and stop times? I think I need to show other managers in our firm the positives of having the time entered in karbon for productivity and budget measurement and planning purposes, but I will ne

WorkItems from API with client tasks that send 0 days after start date

I am comfortably creating and updating workitems using the API with some hacky python scripts, but I’m unable to get recipient data into the workitems for templates with client tasks-- the API includes a “ClientTaskRecipient” object and I feel comfortable assuming that its “ClientKey” field is the ContactKey and the “EmailAddress” field is the contact’s e-mail don’t know if I’m right; have no clue what to pass into the “LinkType” field and am having difficulty getting a response from support, for it. Karbon not allowing client requests to email addresses with our domain

HI,We have some clients that we do their bookkeeping and we want to send them client requests. However, the email address associated with that client is one with our domain, and Karbon does not allow client requests to be sent to addresses with your own domain.I was wondering if you have the same issue and how you are getting around that. How Do I Create a Webhook?

I'm familiar a bit with API, but I never worked with webhooks, can any share instructions on how to create one?Here is what I want to do, we have a database (Google sheet & Airtable) with all our clients, and it's intergraded with Poser BI, where we have multiple dashboards in Power BI. Changing a client email for client tasks

Hi all, I’ve created a job for a client and emailed the client tasks. The problem is that I discovered that the client email has changed. So I updated the client email against the client record and then realised I couldn’t see a way of changing the client details attached to the job to get the checklist resent to the new email. Sending a reminder only sends the list back to the original email regardless of the change to the client. Am I missing something? Is there some way of updating the email - I’ve had to delete the job, create a new job, and then send again to the correct address.

Categorising clients

Hi guys, I am fairly new to Karbon.Just wondering how everyone is managing client according to their needs and types of services provided. For instance, if want to quickly find clients who are individuals with business schedules to assign them specificly tailored templates for tax work, or if you want to pick ones you are doing BAS’s for.In our tax lodgment software, we have ability to assign Extra fields and then do reports based on certain parameters. Wondering if something similar exists in Karbon.I notices, you can add “Services” to clients in their details section but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Kind regards,Elena

Privacy setting for Person Contact to reflect Organisation Privacy setting

I’m not sure if something might already exist or if this would need to be a feature request.Wanted to know if there was a way to set the Privacy of a Person Contact to show visability of communication connected to their contact card to only those who are also part of the client team for the organisation. Eg. “John” has sent an email to us (CBC) this email is automatically connected to “John” as a personal contact, then connected to any relevant work & Organisation “Company A” that applies.“John” has a Public privacy setting, but “Company A” is Private. The email can still be seen by everyone at CBC (total 10 people) from the timeline for “John” but we want to limit the privacy to that of the Organisation for this email now that it has been connected to “Company A” (client team of 4).We have a few person contacts, that are connected to multiple Organisations. And these Organisations have different client teams, we would like to limit visibility by Organisation and still have the opt
