Shared Triage

Thank you for your feedback on Reminders and Shared Triage. Shared Triage is a solution for shared emails, rather than being able to share your personal triage. In the future we would love to build this feature (Delegate Triage) but it is not currently on the roadmap. I definitely encourage everyone to vote on the idea so we can look at prioritising delegate triage in the future.

Time zones

Hi @Bill Metz. This is not something that I am aware of but I would guess that it is a limitation on Outlook - we would be sending it in EST. The engineer for this feature is currently out of office but when they return I’ll ask if they are aware of any issues.

I acknowledge that our document management offering is less beneficial for Google users like yourself. Google Drive Integration

Hi everyone, thanks for the questions.When we first launched document management and DMS integrations, we surveyed customers to understand the most-used solutions. OneDrive and DropBox were the two that comfortably came out on top, which is why we invested in those two integrations first. But we knew there were other solutions used by other customers, one of which was Google Drive, and at the time we planned to build it quite soon—and communicated that with you all. Unfortunately, these plans have changed in recent months as we considered other conflicting priorities. Prioritizing our roadmap is challenging and we try to invest our resources in building the features that will have the biggest impact on the largest number of customers. And as part of that, plans do sometimes get adjusted. We’ve let you down here by not being transparent and failing to communicate this change of plans to you. Visibility on Karbon Work Item Timelines

Hi Angeline The Karbon Support user is listed as a colleague in each account so would be appearing on the visibility section for items on public timelines. However, the support team cannot access your tenant unless you grant access to the Karbon Support user. Access is NOT granted by default. You can grant and remove access by navigating to this user within the colleagues list in Settings. I hope that helps.

@Amelia Freeman It has changed alot for us. Previously I had assigned only automators (not tasks or budgets) so when work was in the initial admin stages it did not show in the My Week of those with upcoming roles. This was a workaround offered to me months ago by another user and was working really well for us. Hi Imbi. This shouldn’t have changed, as we only changed what is displayed. It’s possible work items in this state have always been appearing in My Week but you didn’t know, as it showed a status called ‘all tasks reassigned’. If you think work items are coming into My Week when they weren’t before, please send it to support@karbonhq.com and we’ll look into it.

Not a fan at all of the My Week ‘Tasks awaiting assigned automators’ change. I had spent weeks on a workaround using automators so that work did not appear in colleagues My Week until it assigned to them, and this has undone all of that. Why can’t we have a setting where colleagues don’t see stuff in their My Week at all until it’s with them? We spend so much time clearing jobs, it seems pointless. Not one person at our office wants to see work that is upcoming. It creates too much noise and distraction. Hi Imbi This change would not have changed how this worked for you. We have just changed the wording of the status as previously it showed ‘all tasks reassigned’. There is no logic change. However, items shouldn’t appear in your My Week until the tasks are assigned for the first time (or the work is assigned to you) via the automator. If you had tasks via the automator, completed them and have more to come via an automator, the message will display.

For anybody now worried about Karbon spamming their clients if you leave a comment on more than one task in a Client Request - please vote here: Hi Sam Thank you for the feedback. This is not related to the ability to send a client requests to multiple people and is existing behaviour (the system has always sent a comment email per client task).

Email task in a work template

A work template doesn’t have a concept of a timeline or somewhere to store the draft email, so this isn’t possible at the moment. The intention is for you to be able to set up the email task and then when ready, hit create draft and send the email to the right contact (as a template could be for many different clients). Circling back to this @Amelia Freeman, we’ve found a bug related to the use of email templates in email tasks. We’ve created a work template that has an email task that uses an email template. When the work template is used to create a work item, it appears that the email template is assigned correctly. However, when “create draft” is clicked in the work item, the email template does not appear to be connected. Rather, it simply inserts “null” into the email draft. In order to get it to work correctly, one has to click the edit button and re-select the email template (that is already selected). Please let me know if more information is needed to resolve this e

I can’t see Client Team section in Contact Settings? 🤔 Hi Sam. Do you mean the additional fields? That is currently in a beta, so if you aren’t in the beta it won’t be there for you.

Hey @Amelia Freeman, Is there an issue with not being able to see who Completed a Task in Client Requests when sent to multiple people? 🙂 Hi Sam. Not that we are aware of. If you are having an issue, please send it to support@karbonhq.com Hi Amelia, According to support the engineers have said it is by design that when someone I’ve sent a client request to comments on a task it says their name (good) but when they complete a task it says the organisation name instead of the person’s name (dumb)? Why? 😥 Thanks Sam. I’m looking into it.
