My name is Catherine Catherine. Yes, you’re not seeing double, it’s my true name. :)
What I do: I am a CPA / Business Manager, serving clients in the Family Office space and Entertainment industry. We can connect on LinkedIn if you’re curious and want to find out more about my name and what I do.
Fave aspect of my job: Seeing the positive impact on the clients’ lives as my team and I serve them… Able to innovate and tinker with technology to better our processes. Just being helpful in general and be the catalyst for change. Hmm… sounds like the Karbon magazine article I just shared on LinkedIn. :)
Fave hobby and fun fact: The guilty pleasure of playing games with my family, from board games, mobile app games, console games, you name it! Some of my faves - Heads up, Monopoli, Just Dance! and Ring Fit. The last two are on top of my list since it’s fun, engaging, and making us crossfit as a family! Highly recommend them…

Hello, My name is Diane Kirkpatrick and I am the Client Excellence Coordinator for Paula Field, CPA, PLLC. My job is to make sure our clients have a great experience with our firm from the beginning of their project to the completion. My favorite part of the job is filing the tax returns. I’m Sarah Gordon and an Accounting Manager at a Seattle, WA firm called Jenderuss Forensic Accounting LLC. This means I get to learn new software to aid our clients in integrating their processes with their financial data, guide a staff of three in monthly accounting tasks, and perform project management for the accounting department. One of my favorite aspects of the job is getting folks to laugh while ensuring we hit out deadlines. I have the opportunity to help folks improve their skills, continually learn, and assist entrepreneurs in focusing on their passions through financial clarity.
Outside of work, I’m often found wrangling either myself or the kiddos out of a mud puddle. Between my love for gardening and floral design and the “construction sites” the munchkins create with their trucks...there’s a lot of soil to contend with. There’s no bad weather, just poor choices in clothing layers.

My a career has typically involved a mixture of Operations & Marketing in startups over the last 15 years. I am known for being passionate about learning and automation. I really enjoy looking for complex problems and putting in scalable solutions.
I rolled out Karbon while contracting with a firm of 50+ people and was blown away by what it could do. So, really excited about being able to help others achieve what we did.
Outside of work I’d normally spend most of my free time with friends and cousins exploring new places to eat and drink but, while on Lockdown I’ve been building things out of Lego…
Fun fact wise - between 2015-2017 I had a 1 hour work week which I achieved by building a portfolio of websites selling ebooks by leveraging automation on Instagram.

My name is Gary Bell, I’m one of the founding partners of FLB Accountants LLP, a UK based accountancy firm.
My day to day role has changed a lot over the past 12 years. When we first set the firm up I was involved in every aspect of the business from ordering the stationary to auditing the financial statements of some of our larger clients. However today my role is more of a strategic one. We have grown the business to >£6m recurring fees, over 70 employees and aiming for more.
We have a clear strategy complementing our organic growth with a number of strategic acquisitions over the next 3 - 5 years.
The favourite aspect of my job is the problem solving. Whether that be internal challenges, client matter or process deficiencies. I tend to see issues in the business where others do not and then work hard to find a solution / improvement (like implementing Karbon). I’ve learnt over the years that the old adage is true; always employ people better than you!
My favourite hobby outside of work was golf for a number of years, however, I have three young children so finding 6 hours on a Saturday or Sunday to whack a little ball around a field is now a pastime. I’d say my favourite hobby now is spending time with the kids, I don’t see them much in the week which makes time with them at the weekend special!
I played golf for county and country as a youth, could have turned pro but decided accountancy was more exciting (or realised I was nowhere near good enough!!).

Hey Karbon peeps! I am Kylene Carse - co-managing partner of BWCO CPAs.
What do I do: I guess it would be easier to say what I don’t do, lol, but I am one of the managing partners at our small 8 person CPA firm in San Antonio, TX. I support many small businesses with their accounting/tax/consulting needs, anything and everything QB Online and desktop, payroll, etc… I am also one of the techy nerds at the firm and often get distracted by all the shiny tech stuff out there.
Favorite part of the job: Making a difference, if even a small one, in our clients’ lives.
Favorite hobby? I have two boys, so pretty much anything outdoors, legos, or StarWars is our current jam. I also am a newly converted lover of anything Peloton! I converted my road bike to an indoor setup and am really living the cylcing app.
Fun fact? I love Ace Venture Pet Detective (the original one).

Hello all. I am Jeff Reimer. My firm, Jeffrey D. Reimer, CPA, PLLC is a small virtual CPA firm in Rochester, MN with a global reach serving clients with U.S. tax, payroll and accounting challenges. I work with a team of five, and we have been using Karbon since January 2017.

I am one of two partners of OLYMPUS Consulting and Accounting. We live and work on the Washington coast but serve clients all over western Washington. One of the really neat things about our firm is that we don’t do tax season. We have committed to only doing tax returns for clients that engage in a monthly service subscription. This has allowed us to maintain exceptional customer service year round and our customers love it!
My favorite part of my job is helping businesses grow and watching business owners pry themselves away from the details and start working the big picture. I am growing more into business coaching and it’s very personally rewarding.

At work, I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such a great team and I enjoy collaborating with them to find effective solutions for our customers, and working with them to develop and employ in-house solutions to make everyone’s lives just a little bit easier at work :)
Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors and that encompasses going on a hike, walking in the city, playing soccer at the park or listening to music outdoors (pre-pandemic). Fun fact, hmmm, I am learning how to cook my mother’s Peruvian recipe’s and so far so good!

My name is Iliana C Fernandez. I am the Senior Relationship Manager at The Tax Team, Bird Road location in Miami, Florida. I am the liaison between our clients and our team here at work. I onboard our clients, set them up in our system, and I am in charge of making sure that all information gathering is complete for a smooth working relationship. I concentrate on all things accounting from reconciling, budgeting and financial statements.
My favorite aspect of my job is getting to know my client and understanding what they do and where they want to go. I ultimately want to provide the best advice possible for their particular industry and how to accomplish work tasks efficiently.
My favorite hobby outside of work has always been dancing, art and reading.
Fun Fact About Myself: I have coached my kids in baseball and basketball as they grew up. You know what they say, “those who can, do; those who can’t - TEACH”. I have participated on two trips to underdeveloped countries to help the poor.
