If you use timesheets to track time, what is more important to you?The $ amount of the Budget vs Actual or the Hours amount of the Budget vs Actual.If you don’t use $ or Rates, do you still have Roles? (So you wouldn’t want the Partner spending an hour on Work that they’d usually only spend 5 mins on, even if the Junior was underbudget by 55 mins)
I’m currently exporting out the contact the list for the organizations. The export does not include all of the “contact detail” included in the organization’s detail tab.Unless I’m missing something all of the other contact information (ie address) exports. The only field not exporting is the email. Is anyone able to export emails for the organization contact only. thank you
I was trying to add an email signature in Karbon with some images on it to make the signature fancy and look more professional. However, I noticed that some of our clients whenever they are receiving my email, most of the images on the signature are not showing or even just a box with no image on it. I also find it complicated to paste or create a graphical email signature in Karbon compare to Outlook. Anyone who has a workaround or having the same issues?
I was wondering if anyone uses work items as a holding place for notes/emails at all. No real tasks assigned to this area, but a repository for conversations/information. Easily searchable notes/emails within the team. or for other things...welcome any thoughts on this or current best practices and ideas. Thanks!
Would anyone else find it useful to be able to copy a section of a template to work items. This would be so helpful when updating existing work items. I put in a feature request for this. If you think this would be useful, please make a request as well. Requests can be submitted by going to Help and Feedback and choosing this.
Has anyone been able to effectively use the #of day before work start date effectively when creating tasks? We find that the task does not show up in the To do list or now My Week until the Work Order start date. The task is overdue when the assignee actually gets notice of it. Is it me? What I am doing wrong? It seems like a great feature, a reminder to get something set up so the work is ready to go on the start day. A recent example is onboarding a new employee, there are some tasks to be completed by HR before the employees start date but the work order is set to be assigned to the receiving team on the start date, and it would be good for the receiving team to know that those tasks are complete. Our work around has been separate work orders but we muddy visibility.
Best practice advice please… I’m fairly new to Karbon and looking for tips to better organize. For recurring work like month end close or biweekly payroll, is it better to create a “work” template for each of these and have them repeat or create one “work” template with 12 (or 24) tasks within that have monthly/ biweekly due dates for each task? Which way is easier to manage?
I am sending a bulk email to a group of clients. I am sending the email to myself and the bcc’ing the group of clients. I have the list of emails in a document. In Gmail, I used to just copy and paste the emails and wa-la, they are all added. But I can’t copy and paste in Karbon.Does anyone know of a way to do this?Thanks in advance. Maria
How do others tackle overall work assignee’s when it’s a long project and there’s multiple people involved?. Our Annual Financial Statements work can last up to 9 months and involve 4 different people, in different roles (Accountant, Client Manager, Partner & Admin). Currently we assign the overall work to the Client Manager. However, that means that lots of stuff appears in their My Week, when they don’t actually have to do any tasks on that project until it is already substantially started (Admin & Accountant take care of everything up to work review stage) I have seen on a webinar the use of dummy team members, using fake email addresses, and wondered if that was a solution. When looking back, I can’t find the webinar now...I think it was something mentioned in a Sara/ Andii webinar. Anyone use this facility or can point me in the right direction, please?

Hi all,Just a quick query on how people track un-billable non-client related time within Karbon. With the advent of staff working from home due to COVID mandates in our area I’m keen to track all work undertaken by staff, not just the billable elements and not just those related to specific client work (billable or otherwise). Any suggestions as to how this is handled that would be greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone,New here :) Our firm is currently using Practice Ignition to import clients once they have signed their proposal. The issue we constantly have is emails sitting in our triage from clients who have not signed on with us yet, therefore there is no client in Karbon to attach them to yet. We could create one ahead of time, but I think Karbon would double up on contacts if we do that.Wondering if anyone has any solution to this so they don’t just have emails sitting in their triage that need to be added to a work or contact.Help would be much appreciated or any advice. Thanks!
My team is new to Karbon. I have set up all of our clients and the primary contacts for each (usually the owner and an office manager). This is based on our old client database and my email contacts (imported from Gmail). I added my team to each organization as “other colleagues,” so that they can see communication, work etc for each of our company clients. We are running into an issue and I’m hoping there are solutions even though I can’t find any other topics that cover this: My People contacts are not visible to the rest of my team. The People contacts don’t have the same field to add colleagues, and I don’t see any setting where I can make my contacts universal.
Hi all. So I’ve setup a client task, sent the email to the the client requesting information and then noticed a further query. I’ve now updated the client task with the new item. Do I need to resend the email or will the client see the new task automatically? TIA
We are currently using a cloud-based ERP solution to manage our time sheets, but would like to use Karbon instead to manage time sheets. however there seems to be no API allowing us to perform such operation. Can you please let me know when you plan to develop further API’s to allow greater automation with other apps.Thank youChristian
Does anyone know if there is a way to export the Colleague Utilization information such that time is exported in hours, like how it is visible in Karbon? When we export, all the time is in minutes… And my brain doesn’t work in minutes past 90 minutes - lol. vs exported:
Hi, all, I wonder if anyone has stopped using Tsheet and started using Karbon Time exclusively. I have both sync at the moment, but I would like just use Karbon going forward. When I disconnect Tsheet, I cannot clock on Karbon Time. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks,Joy
