Uploading attachment in the comment

Hi, is there anyone experiencing our problem with uploading attachments into the comment section? Whenever we’ll click the upload icon and then select the attachment, it will just disappear as if nothing happens. We can only attach files by drag and drop which is sometimes inconvenient.

Client Work Year Overview

Newer user and wondering if there is a way to do a calendar view of work that is scheduled for a client? Ideally seeing a year snapshot that maps out the work over the course of the year - on a monthly basis - still listing work items that are set as recurring. Is there a feature I’m missing or is there a way to create something that will meet this need? Thank you!

Time on Job 'Actual' doesn't balance to time sheet.

Hi all, Has anyone had an issue where the time on job doesn’t appear to balance with the time sheets?Not sure if I’m filtering incorrectly, or if this is a bug. Screen shot of ‘Budget by Team Member’ on the job with 4h 42m of actual timeTime Entry reports are only showing as 2.5hours Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated :)

Suggestion for app workpapers

Hello, wondering if anyone has a suggestion on apps that they have used that integrates with Karbon that can be used for workpapers. Currently we use excel a lot although wondering if there is another solution that integrates well with karbon. Thank you!

How to link SharePoint with Karbon

I am trying to link Karbon to my DMS (SharePoint) and it’s not working. Here is what I’ve done:Karbon → Settings → Document Storage → Clicked “Connect” for OneDrive (including SharePoint) Clicked “Authorize” → accepted all the terms from the pageNow in “Connect Document Management System” the OneDrive (including SharePoint) option shows “disconnect” as the option. I have a note above that says “Admin Permission Required - To connect to a document management system you will need permission to authorize app connections within the document management system itself.”I am unable to find a tutorial on how to do this. When I go into a work item, then into then into “Documents”, then “Connect Folder” - I see an “Authenticate” button. When I press that I am taken to another screen that says “There was a problem authenticating your OneDrive (including SharePoint) account. Try again.”

Internal reminders for @ Mentions

Hello! We are wondering if there is a way to create a reminder on internal @ mentions? When we have a question and @ mention each other either in a task, note or otherwise, we are noticing if the question is not answered immediately, it is forgotten and then we get behind. Is there a system where we can implement to set reminders on these things? Thank you!

Items not appearing in Triage when they should, coming in days later

Has anybody else experienced this recently?I've contacted support who are going to look into it, but wondered if others have experienced the same (and can provide more data points to support and engineering).Email 1:An email I turned Notify me On a few weeks ago. New responses were coming into my Triage for me to review and clear. On Monday I noticed the item was in my Triage, but there were new responses that had not come into my Triage before Monday, even though I'd cleared Triage (completely since those replies)Email 2:I was mentioned in an email conversation on Monday and cleared it.On Tuesday morning there was an email response on the conversation and the item didn't come into my Triage.On Wednesday morning my Triage, which had been 0 unread, changed to 1, but I didn't have a new item at the top of my Triage, I scrolled down and saw an unread item from Tuesday, that had only just appeared 🤔

We set up a large number of workflows in Karbon, and found that there is no way to export them to excel or other applications. Would anyone know if there is an export function? Thank you.

Issue with $ not showing on time entries added to Work item post-Completed

Posting to warn others who may be unknowingly experiencing the same issue.. and because I wasn’t able to start a chat with Karbon Support like I usually can 🤔 so have had to email them instead.We're encountering a bug where time we add to a completed job is being added fine in terms of mins, but is showing 0.00 for dollars 😭 Hard-refresh and incognito aren’t helping.My colleague first alerted me to the issue and I was able to replicate it below:Switching from Completed to not completed and back to Completed fixes the $ issue.. but is obviously not something we want to need to do for things to work as they should 😢

Is there a way to send the client request without the checklist?

Hello,I just wanted to ask if there were any methods or workarounds to sending client request emails without the checklist to a client. This would help my company in automating some emails without the need of working around a checklist.At the moment, for our client request “notifications”, we have developed a temporary workaround where we send the request as an email notifying that whatever they have done has been successful, and they can check off the checklist stating they have seen the email. Either way though, an automator has already been set up to complete the work once this notification has been sent out. So to recap, I wanted to ask:Can I schedule and send an automated email in a work template without a checklist? Is there some way I can use Karbon to send out quarterly “newsletters” automatically? Perhaps within a work template? In a client request email, is it possible I can embed an image into the body by any chance (not as an attachment, but the image is loaded in the email

Approving an invoice made Karbon reset the invoice

Hi @Dave George,Can you please assist here?I created an invoice this morning.Edited it to “remove” some lines (by tick > Carry).Total came to $2,142.25 (incl GST).I clicked Approve, then Export to Xero.I noticed on the Export and then on the Karbon Invoice, the total had changed to $3,715.25.It appears when I clicked Approve on the Invoice, Karbon went to the liberty of resetting it.Please see Audit Trail below, Green are events that did happen, Orange are events that didn’t/couldn’t possibly have happened (I can’t create an invoice twice, especially not 5 hours after creating it the first time).I raised it with Karbon Support who (obviously without reading my message) asked me to send logging and repeat the actions. I can’t repeat the actions and I don’t have time to be redoing an invoice multiple times.Can Karbon please reinstate the invoice I created and approved before it decided to do something impossible?Thank you

Bookkeeper access

Wondering if there is a way to set up a clients bookkeeper as a contact so that way if we email client requests out with the magic link they could forward it to their bookkeeper and then they could upload some of the documents we are requesting. or if the bookkeeper could have a portal login where they could deposit information into specific clients they are related to.Thanks

Client Request & Safari

UPDATED TO KNOWN ISSUE: I contacted support and they have identified an issue and are urgently working to resolve. Just an FYI in case others experience the same. Client attempted to open a client request via phone. Later in the office accessed from their Mac using Safari. They are receiving a blank/white Safari screen without the Click Here for a New Link message.Has anyone had any issues with Safari recently or know what might be causing the screen to be just blank rather than have the instructions for sending a new link?They have used Safari in the past with no issues.

Primary Work Status Kanban View

Is it possible to have a Kanban Work View where only the Primary Work Statuses are displayed with all of the sub-statuses rolled up under the primary?It does not appear to be possible. We have numerous sub-statuses. While I do love being able to see these all across the screen in their own columns for certain purposes, it would be great to get a high-level overview of just the primary statuses. Think of it like collapsing a bunch of items under the parent so it is less messy.

Undo in email

When writing an email in Karbon if I want to undo I usually press Ctrl+Z. However, if I accidently paste an image, this function doesn’t work to bring back what the image pasted over. Is there anyways to undo data that was deleted due to an image paste?Ex. I selected my entire draft to copy, pressed Ctrl+C, but instead accidently pressed Ctrl+V, which pasted an image in it’s place. So I cannot seem to undo to get my entire email draft back.

Edit Fee settings on repeating work or change the template - easily

Hi guys,7 Months in and we have some learnings.We have a couple of different groups of clients where we have a fixed fee arrangement for a bundle of work items. We ideally want to change the repeating work fee details from fixed fee to time+cost.How can we do this effectively as it is a 80 clients impacted.

Our invoicing needs

Hi all! I would like to start with first and foremost our company is not an accounting firm we are a building design firm. With that in mind we understand that our needs may differ from Karbons core audience and users. I have a few questions regarding the introduction of the invoicing features particularly around the functionality of it the system. Though it would be beautiful to use Karbon for invoicing our confusion is ten fold. We are unable to export to Xero as well as send through Karbon? How is this going to affect our accountants and bookkeepers as they get out data from Xero? Will this affect the reconciliation process in Xero? Is the only way for us to use the system by creating an invoice in both systems? All of your help would be greatly appreciated.
