How to remove old time recording from prior period

We started to use Karbon time recording in 2023 in anticipation of billing that time on Karbon. We are still raising invoices on XPM, and now need to remove the WIP that has been billed on that system. What is the best way that it can be removed, while not affecting the performance of Karbon, and providing a true view of WIP, so we can set a date of moving billing from XPM to Karbon?

It may be a little tedious, but I recommend going through and recreating the invoices in Karbon billing, then instead of posting them, mark them as exported. It removes them from WIP but keeps the historical revenue information so you can see billing history in Karbon.

The other alternative is to just remove the WIP from Karbon, but you would lose the historical billing information. I can provide more detail if you would like.

Thanks, if we recreate the invoices, we cannot back date them to 31 Dec 23 so they will have the incorrect invoice date. Is there a way of opening the period again so the invoices can be booked for 2023 rather than 2024?

Yes, you can re-open the billing periods. You have to start from the most recent period and work backwards reopening them.
