How to Delete Client Group

@MaeTheModernWay Deleting a contact/group deletes a lot of other things related to them (outlined in the link from @SamG!). Some things we think about/review before deleting a contact/group:

• Review the timeline and ensure everything is tagged elsewhere/remove the tagging to that contact/group
• Check work and make sure nothing is open - if so, change the client
• Check completed work and change the client
• Review budget/time tab and see if there has been any time logged against the contact/group

Depending on your needs, you might find it better to:

1. Create a contact type called “Archived” or “Inactive” or something - this will allow you to exclude them in filters but keep all the history/records
2. Rename the contact with “z” prepended to the name - this will mean they show at the end of any alphabetical contact lists

You could check out and maybe vote for this feature request too - ideally we could make a contact actually inactive instead of having to delete it, without losing any of the history!
