Fraudulent emails flagged in Gmail, not in Karbon

Gmail will flag these emails with a very visual banner, like shown in this Google image search.  With recent scam messages, Gmail will display this External senders message.

The problem we are having is that none of this is visible within the Karbon interface.  If we are not careful, we can easily mistake a message as real.  We caught one recently that would have cost us thousands of dollars!!

Is there a way to enable these messages within Karbon?  What other security features can we lock down to make sure we don’t have any further possible issues?

Hi @augieNPI!

We have had a huge number of these emails come through. It’s really terrible.

I’m not aware of a way to make this happen in Karbon, but I can tell you what we have done to mitigate this issue:

  • Pay for and use phishing training systems for your staff
  • Actively filter out emails at the tenant level
  • Block all emails with attachments (this was a big one, but it’s worked well. Both sides get a warning that the email didn’t go through).

Does that help at all?

It does.  I’m looking at similar solutions currently.  My wish would be that we saw those messages from Gmail in Karbon.  Wishlist Item # 1!!!
