Hi @Michelle Reilly,
Check out this article for how comments work:
https://help.karbonhq.com/en/articles/1524692-comment-on-client-requests
Towards the middle, there’s this quote:
If you add multiple comments in quick succession on a single task within a Client Request, Karbon will wait five minutes before notifying your client by email. This is to consolidate any additional comments, uploaded documents and edits, rather than sending a new email for each one. Each time an update or edit is made, Karbon will reset the timer for five minutes before sending the email notification.
In the past, Karbon showed a preview of the comment in the notification email, but this practice was discontinued for privacy reasons.
There are several ideas related to this issue, and the best thing to do is to go vote for them so the Karbon team will prioritize development resources.
A quick search of the Karbon community ideas surfaced these ideas.
Hi @max-
Thank you very much for your response. It is much appreciated!
In reference to:

I think that it is fantastic that Karbon waits five minutes to consolidate multiple comments on a single task. However, if a user comments on every task in a Client Section, the client still receives separate email notifications for each task, which they find very frustrating. I wish the 5-minute waiting period applied to all comments made!
Also, thanks for notifying me of the related Karbon community ideas. I have voted for all these ideas and even posted one of my own ideas that encompases the overall challenges with the Notification emails.
