I’m looking to get into a real cloud based document management audit app. I have used CCH Engagement a long time ago on a LAN. I currently use Thomson Reuters Workpapers. But both are very expensive and restrictive. Thomson Reuters recently moved all their server/cloud based software hosting to Microsoft Azure and it has gotten really slow. I am also paying about $2000 a month for 5 staff to use it, in additional to the annual license fee renewal. I would prefer to use a real cloud solution like Karbon, ProConnect, QBO, Wave, Xero, etc. programs are. I am looking at AuditFile but just doesn’t seem to have the same functionality I am looking for with TBs, PDF and excel integration, and tickmarks. Maybe I’m asking too much for a cloud app. Are there any recommendations or what do other firms use?
