Changing actual start date of repeating work

I am trying to change one of our clients from a monthly repeating schedule to yearly.  There has been no work done for this client yet.  I deleted the repeat setting and re entered it as a yearly repeat schedule.  The only problem is that I need it to run Jan. through Dec. and I cannot figure out how to do this.  The repeat schedule is picking up todays date June 2024 to June 2025 and so on.  I am not sure how to fix the actual date to reflect Jan. 2024 to Dec. 2024.🤔

Hi @Kelsey, welcome to the Karbon community! 😁

The repeat settings pick up the start date of the work item used to create the recurring work. If you change the start date of the work before you create the repeat schedule, it should pick up the right timeframe.

Here’s an article with some more details: https://help.karbonhq.com/en/articles/6096234-setup-repeating-work-on-a-schedule

It’s also really annoying that you can’t actually change the start date in the repeat settings itself, something many people have voted on and requested here!

Max thank you for the information.  It was a quick fix.  👍
